But I don't see an issue if you are selling the best quality products.  But if they aren't being polite or don't leave when you ask them to, I say give them the boot.

It's an issue because it's rude, tacky, and pushy. I don't want my customers being pestered while they're trying to shop. Even I don't pester them or try to push anything on them. Competition doesn't bother me. What does bother me is someone trying to sit on my shoulders while I carry the load. They can open their own stores, and draw their own customers, using the same avenues I have open to me. My having a successful store shouldn't be an invitation to leeches.
