What does everyone have against telling their location ?? I’ve always had fun seeing where other people are from, looking on the map, trying to imagine what it's like living there. Responses like “planet earth” and “your town” are more suited to MSN Chat, than an adult community like this.
Be proud of your home, tells us (ok, me) where your from………..

I agree. It is very interesting to know where people are from.
I'm from the Los Angeles area and I can't believe how late some of you east coasters stay up!

Texas, here. I typically say Dallas, even though I'm actually a bit north of Dallas, simply because Dallas is more recognizable than the town where I actually live.

Xavier Kansas City, here. Been 10 degrees or so the last few days, around zero in the mornings. Around 10 at night the entire temperature in the apt drops 10 degrees magically.. sucks!

That means if you want to complain about the cold, you better be in canada. Because it gets to cold for snow to fall around here.

Only one city in the world is Our Fair City and I'm in it. I sure hope I don't have to move any time soon or I'll have to change my SL name.

The reason a person typically doesn't tell others where they are from is because a certain percentage of the population can't keep their internet relationships from spilling into real life. This can become a problem when people fight. Much safer to keep things distinctly separate.

Unless you live in a place with a population under 30, there is no way in the world someone would be able to find you, unless you want then to. I live on an island that's 32 miles across, come try and find me. That being said. If someone REALLY wants to find you, they will, if you tell where your from or not.

I am in San Mateo County, Ca about 1/2 hour north of San Jose and about 3/4 hour south of San Francisco.
I am a transplant from a suburb of New York City (1/2 north of NYC).
I am soooOOOooo glad I have escaped New York winters. The bay area is beautiful, you must visit someday.
