This is my first post to these forums so excuse me if I mess things up. I just bought some land, along with my woman, in a new area and we were the first ones there. Then a herd of furry types bought the land around us which I have no problem with so I went out to to say hi to them all. Not a one even bothered to return my greeting which I found very weird.
Then, today, I noticed a sign that said this was a furry only zone. Since I was here first I don't know how they can say that. Is this some kind of SL tradition where these furry types don't talk to real people and they think they can take over an area for their own?

It depends....
If the furries in question are carnivorous, then you have big problems. If they are the vegetarian furries, you have no worries. Those vegetarian furries are harmless (unless you wear a carrot av). _____________________

40000 members in SL - you are bound to live next door to all types. Personally, I enjoy furrys and have not experienced any problems. Once I had a neighbor who put up satan signs and cursed obscenities, then I had a all day and night club, and a rotating cube, and then who has not endured living next to a tringo once or twice, or had a neighbor who like to shoot their new found weapons at ya.
Normally. I dont complain because nothing can last forever. ok I complained about satan - well that was just scary. Just continue with your good manners and kindness, cuz normally people cant be rude forever either. |

Tommy, to be honest, some (some, not all) furries are really just complete twits.
The best solution is to ignore them. If they start any mess or the sims starts slowing down because of them, complain directly to LL. Or get a large spray bottle. |

Again I want to state that I am asking a simple question despite what that Jillian person had to say and I am not looking for flames for asking a question no matter how I stated it. I am not a newbie and have never experienced such rudeness in SL and was wanting to know if it is some kind of tradition for furries to be rude to non-furries.

Well, excuse the hell out of me for not wanting to be lumped in like that. You posted a question that has an obvious answer - there is no such tradition. Furries aren't some different species with a culture all thier own, and you know it. No the answer isn't obvious to me or I wouldn't have asked the question and I don't see where I insulted furries. I don't know know anything about them. or you for that matter, and was wondering why about 10 of them declined to talk to me. Please don't read some some deeper meaning into something. |
