How are people making "tiny" avatar's and other oddly-shaped contraptions if they contradict the proportions of the body?
Is there a script to make the body invisible and replace it with a smaller model or something?

Invisiprims are definitely a way to mask parts of the avatar body. I've found that Beatfox Xevious' works the best. The thread Jeffrey references has several examples of invisiprims including Beatfox's. Take a look at this thread for more information.
On the subject of tiny avatars (specifically Wynx Whiplash's tinies) invisprims are not used to achieve the effect. Most of these tiny avatars use a type of animation overrider that keeps the limbs folded up into themselves. The paws of the tiny avatars are actually at the elbows of the avatar mesh, the forearms and hands are folded up via animation into the upper arm to make the limbs appear shorter (same with the lower legs and feet). I believe the midsection of the avatar is also folded up to make the overall height of the avatar appear shorter as well. |

Well...
If I'm not mistaken, my Tiny av basically uses a Poser animation to squish the normal avatar into a tiny space... it loses the facade if you do certain things. Invisoprims are cool until you see through them, then you start to see all sorts of wacky things ![]() _____________________

Specifically, I was making reference to this:
How are people making "tiny" avatar's and other oddly-shaped contraptions if they contradict the proportions of the body? But yes, tinies animations certainly use a special technique to fold the avatar's joints. It's always fun to see how people can torture the existing system. Would be nice if we had some real control over the meshes and joints, though. _____________________
