Tell us a little about you! We love to meet new players!
Tell us if you have any plans, what you want to focus on (building, clothing, scripting, texturing, avatar design, etc) Tell us a little about your real life (if you want) and tell us some previous MMORPGs you might have played.

Good idea with the thread... I've always wondered why it wasn't it's own forum...

hi

hi, just created my 7 dayfree account today...too bad the servers are down. I hope to log on tonight to check the game out. Saw it on a friends PC and said "now that's what character creation SHOULD involve!" and been itching to try it out since. Like so many unfortunate souls, i was also once a slave to the Everquest Empire. But having had escaped the rule of EQ about 5 months ago, I'm dieing to try something new, even though fulltime school/work holds alot of my time. don't think i've decided on what i want to focus on....i'll prolly give costumes n such a shot first and work on building later. Hope to get to know you all and see you inside...whenever that will be -Dordoulin

I started on Friday, and I plan to become a subscriber as soon as I decide on which plan I want to take. I'm very tempted to go with the lifetime plan as I can see this going somewhere.
I have about 10 years of software development experience, so I look forward to jumping into the scripting once I get a good grasp of the normal building thing. I am quite impressed with the work that the Linden folks have done. I'm sure it was no small feat to come up with the system that they have developed, and I look forward to be a part of it's continued evolution.
If you are familiar with the Bartle Gamer Personality types, I am an ESAK type player. If you're not familiar with the system, it is basically a way of ranking your interests in how you approach a game:
E = Explorer (looks around, sees what things do) S = Socializer (likes to chat) A = Achiever (strives to accomplish quantifiable goals, such as getting on the leader board) K = Killer (likes to shoot things)
I think I have finally found the perfect place to come to, to enjoy myself and relax. The people I have met so far have been the most outstanding group of individuals I have ever met online.
I have a feeling that this is just the beginnings of the "metaverse" as it is to become, and I think it's undescribably cool that I can participate in the seeds of what may become a whole new paradigm on society which will henceforth be a part of humanity.
I see this in the same way that many of us envy the pioneers of history, and I feel excited to be one of the first to take part in this remarkable step! =)
