Somethings amiss in London again...

Waiting for more news, but apparently somethings going on in London again. Willow C said its all sirens and helicopters, and 3 tube stations have been evacuated.

Anyone hears anything post, my nets being totally stupid.

Dummy explosions using detonators only have sparked the evacuation of three Tube stations and the closure of three lines, a BBC correspondent has said.
Police cordoned off large areas around Warren Street, Oval and Shepherd's Bush Tube stations.

Emergency services also attended an incident on a route 26 bus in Hackney Road in Bethnal Green.

There were reports of smoke coming from two of the stations. There are no reports of any injuries.

The whole of the Northern Line has been suspended, along with the Victoria Line and the Hammersmith and City.

A spokesman for London Underground said the nature of the incidents was unknown.

News reports at the moment are confused. Some people are saying there was a bang in a tube carriage and smoke. Also someone running away. Apparently dummy bomb, but still causing panic and disruption of course.

The first proper reports are coming in now. it was 4 on the tube and one on a bus, it's either copycat or stage 2, hospital near warren street has been cordoned off, nobody knows why.

Just a msg I got from a friend in the middle of London.

A man has been arrested by armed police in Whitehall, opposite Downing street.

I'm sure CNN will report 8,000 are dead until they get an actual number. They really annoy me with their rumor reporting.

All I have heard so far is one minor injury, and that was one of the terrorists.

Also there are armed police in University College Hospital, and reports of a fugitive at large.

Well Tony Blair and the Chief of Police seem to think its all ok....

Well, they took someone away, they now want London moving again back to normal, thing is your kinda stuck, you can't live life in fear, yet you can't be sure your safe.

I agree it's a mixed message. Both "Don't worry and go on doing your normal thing" and "Watch out! They'll strike again". Wha??

That being said, I give the Londeners lots of credit for not being cowed by this stuff. I figure this bombing crap will come to Los Angeles eventully and I wonder how the locals (myself included) will react. Will we be able to do (or replicate) business as usual? Or will things grind to a chaotic halt as everyone freaks out?

Back to London, I'm glad no one was hurt this time except one of the idiots responsible for the attack. At least he's alive for questioning.

Something is going on that they aren't telling us about, and I wish they would tell us, i know they don't want to scare ppl or what not, but its better than us all living in fear.

Unofficial police sources say there is a package on a train somewhere in London. They are checking at the moment.

At least only 1 person has injuries, would be better if none, but its alot better than it could have been.

There weill be a briefing today at 12:30pm (30 min) from the London police. Sky News is also doing an excellent job of covering this story.

The last briefing said don't panic, get back to normal, but then the armed police arreseted a suspect outside of Downing Street.

Obviously new stuff is happening and they are briefing again, i strongly suspect this is a botched copycat attempt.

ok, this can't be accurate.

"I saw an Asian guy run onto the train hotly pursued by three plain-clothes police officers.

"One of them was carrying a black handgun - it looked like an automatic - they pushed him to the floor, bundled on top of him and unloaded five shots into him.

"I saw the gun being fired five times into the guy - he's dead."

If three officers have the guy pinned on the ground, and they pump 5 bullets into him, thats cold blooded murder and they should be jailed for life. I don't care who he was. You cannot dole out 'street justice' like that.

Well it is just breaking news.. hysteria springs to mind.

I guess we just wait and see what happens and what happened when accurate reports come out.
