If the allegations are true about this person's behavior, then ADA protocol does not apply -- a point made clear several times in this thread.

The problem is that care has to be taken not to inadvertantly make it into an ADA issue, nor give the offending person grounds for trying to make it so -- largely because the parameters for ADA are still being defined, and strange things could be possible.

Outrage, large or small, that ADA might figure into this mess does not change the fact that it might. So -- be careful. That's all I'm sayin', and I've said it, and now I'll be quiet!

I'd actually ask this. Does this person have your real name? Do they have your address? Do they access to a car? Just sit back and think about it for a few. If they do, then maybe it might be of concern but Internet rage actually being followed through on is rare. If they don't have any of your information then its just a hollow immature threat.

However, I can't promise you that the Lindens banning him/her will change anything whatsoever. They are extremely lax on enforcing rules about such behavior. Say they ban him for a while? He can just go and make another account and he/she is right back to where they left off with you, probably inducing a bit more paranoia at this point.

And if he has your information about RL? I'd report it. Report to the Lindens, report it to the police and report it to the FBI. That's pretty extreme and I DOUBT they'd do anything but at least you've left a record detailing the issue at large. And chalk the experience up to life, never give your information out on the internet to people, if you have.

I understand your frustrations but swearing about it and go up and down the wall will not make you look good on it. Being angry under these situations is normal but think yourself better than them and try to respond rationally. I'm not flaming you, just trying to help ease your situation here some with advice.

But this's just adding fuel to prove my theory that many people who intimidate and harass others, who stubbornly force their negativity on others, and who all in all just can't get along with others ... can't spell. And they resort to name-calling when they can't articulate whatever their knuckles fail to type.

as someone who has unfortunately had to deal with a fair amount of grief myself tcoz.. the best advice i can give you is jus stay calm. Use the in game grief report tool any time it is within your perogative to do so, include screenshots and chat history with it. And wait... it sucks having to wait but this kinda thing isn't going to happen quickly.


You'll feel abandoned.. ignored.. colluded against.. thats part of the emotional response though and not really representative of how the lindens are acting on it.

If the other people keep contacting the lindens tcoz jus be plain and honest... its your land.. you've had it for as long as you have and any chance you had of ever working with *them* was ruined when they escalated the situation. aka you simply aren't willing to work with them any more because of how unreasonably they treated you.
