Not true, this option does work, but it has a limitation. The reason it is not working for you is because of the number of contacts you have. If you have a very larger number of calling cards, you will get an error.

The work around is to not spam your entire contact list. Make a new folder and copy the select cards that deserve your spam. I have not determined the max limit on sending messages to offline contacts, as I dont need or use this feature. Try what I have suggested with 50 contacts and add more til it quits working. Then make a secondary folder, if necessary.

Guess spam is a point of view really, mostly I get decent info I might actually use.. although all the groups Im in's IMing (wow that sticks on the tounge) does get annoying sometimes, especially when 3 or 4 seem to all come on at once, we should really be able to opt out of that if we wish without having to leave the group. I dont understand the animosity towards people u only met once IMing u as one person posted.. what are ya a superstar? u really turn away possible new friends? Thats not spam.... it never will be.

I really have not gotten enough spam to take notice. If someone does an IM conference IM with everyone on their calling card list I can just close the window. Otherwise.... I don't mind being dropped notecards/invites/group poll announcements etc. I am forgetful and sometimes don't always know what is going on

Or you could be like me and auto discard without reading. Thanks to a faulty script from a store I visited I was receiving 300+ notecards a day from that vendor. Some diligent work by Nigel Linden finally alleviated the problem after 3 solid weeks of this.
This has made me extemely gun (note card) shy and I will discard any I get unless the person sending them IM's me and asks permission to send as well. I have also removed myself from any group that uses their community channel for general chit chat.

General Group Chitchat, I have no problem with, but I just don't think Cybering on the Group chat is a smart thing to do. Needless to say, I left that group.

Spam is unwanted stuff, period. Groups I've joined, I have no problem with, and if I do, I leave. I usually ignore the first round or two of the stuff, since some of it is onetime things, but after the 15th time? I AR them.
