What if someone advertised givaways? Free content? Is that bad as well? I voted other as I kinda feel that its ok under certain conditions. If what is shown is 100% SL content (ie storefront) then I don't have a problem, posting a pic of a logo that is a RL photo with wording on it, then no, I don't agree it should be allowed.

Here's my line of thinking:
In regards to slpics.com specifically, I say, if you create something (a house, a car, an article or articles of clothing) and you are proud of it, I think you should be able to post to slpics.com, and say something along the lines of "I just finished this ____, and I think it came out great, and am proud of it..." I think that should be perfectly ok, but that's just me. I don't think that's advertising - and don't think it becomes advertising until you say "I just finished this and it's on sale at (long list of locations here) for (price here) - pick yours up today!" As far as it posting to secondlife.com ... I think it should be ok to take a snapshot of something awesome you made, and have that appear on the front page, provided it's pg (lol) and that it's not a snapshot of an advertisement/logo/etc. There's nothing wrong, I think, with showing potential Second Lifers what's POSSIBLE in world. I do, however, agree that snapshots of advertisements have that "cheesy, late-night infomercial" feel to them, and IMO, are not cool. ![]() _____________________
