Formal Apologie to all Members of SL

I must apologize to everyone that has donated time and again to keep Big Red in world. I had to take her down last night on principle of the situation. I do understand that all the donations were to keep her up and going. I assure you I have not utilized those funds and they will continue to be in holding until the tax issue is addressed. The principle that had me take her down was I was told that I was not fully committed to protesting this tax issue within the confines of Taber and Welsh. So to show my support to a cause that we have rallied for so much I have taken down all of my builds.

Again please understand all funds donated will be used for Big Red but at the moment for principle she is down.

Again for those that donated I truly do appreciate your donations and they will not be utilized for anything other than Big Red when she goes back up in world. My taxes and Stip/Bonus are at a balance at the moment. I am not gaining but I am not loosing either. As long as that is maintained I will not be having to utilize the Donations until she is back up and in world.

Again thank all the members of SL for their support and donations to Big Red. Please feel free to contact me in world if anyone has any questions about their donation. If anyone feels they need to request their donation back I have no problems with that either.

Shadow your keeping the money?

Last night you told me you are returning all donations.

Last night you were caught in a deception with another friend.

Last night you hurt yet another friend.

Last night you proclaimed that you were leaving taber forever as not to bother us anymore.

Last night you questioned if I was your friend after you were caught trying trying to not only decieve someone else but also me.

I put you on notice then, but after a good night sleep; now I have had enough of your "antics" to put it mildly. You use ppl for your own monitary gain in games. Those ppl are usualy women. You want to be chased so that women can massage your rather over inflated ego. You get on the pitty pot on a moments notice but never stick up for anything you believe in unless there is something in it for you. God forbid you should look even mildly protesting anything in front of a Linden. You are so caught up in double dealings that I dont even know where to begin.

Ladies I would like to mention he left the sims online with a cool million taken from many unsuspecting women only to leave the bulk of it to a man. I may have been not as nieve as them so I was spared but I am well aware of it. Thought things were different here. Apparently not.

No my dear we apparently are not friends as friends do not hurt each other the way you have done not only to me, but to many around you these days. I know the truth and it sucks.

FYI no its not a good idea to threaten a friendship just because you dont get a responce in the time you wanted one. I was busy talking with Ian Linden when you were pulling your "I thought we were friends but apparently not" immature behavior. I have no use for games if that was not abundantly clear before it should be now.

Things said in the heat of the moment, or in time of great stress, should probably be ignored by everyone.

Shadow loves his Dragon, and wanted to keep the Dragon up. Others thought Shadow was being a two-face for complaining about taxes and still keeping his Dragon up.

I can see where words were exchanged, and things were said that probably shouldn't be. But like you Cat, Shadow slept on it, and after cooling off, decided this was best.

I think it's a bit over the top to jump on him about saying he would give back your donation if asked. He did say, he was NOT using the donations for his personal use, but would keep them seperate and use them for the Dragon when all this tax stuff blows over.

If that doesn't suffice, I'll make you this offer. Shadow can tell everyone here what the donation amount is, and I will be happy to hold this amount from Shadow in escrow until either someone asks for it back, or the tax issues blow over and it the Dragon goes back up.

No need to lose friendships for times of words that shouldn't have been spoken in the first place. Let's all try to remember this, it's best if you don't say anything when you are upset, angry, or stressed. Sleep on it, and you temper and thoughts will be cooled by the morning so you can speak clearly and think clearly.

Bob I appreciate the support but dont worry about it I never took anything from anyone...when I was in TSO I worked for the 1 million I had there for over two months with a friend of mine playing pizza.

I got pretty good at calling it too.

Im sorry you feel the way you do Catherine and being as this post actually had nothing to do with you in the first place.The quote was made by someone else. Some one's opinion that I valued as much as life it self. Someone that I wont mention here because we were trying to resolve things.
I appreciate the responce that you have given here. I had a seperate and real issue going on last night but thats ok thank you for posting my personal problems on the boards. I appreciate the slander. Because you apparently dont really know me and because of that you have cut me deeper than anything that transpired last night could.

In reference to the Donations I do not want anyone thinking that I am a thief and as Bob said and I mentioned earlier the money was seperate from my own. I will post once I get home and can pull up the note card whom all has donated to me. I will then proceed to give those funds back. Then every one can check with all that donated to me and see if I repaid them to show I am a man of my word. I do love Big Red I built her for someone I truly love. Now it has all been turned asunder.

Don't let the opinion of one person turn your dreams to dust.

Like I said, if people would feel more comfortable, I would be happy to step in and hold the money in escrow until this whole thing has blown over.

Otherwise, I would suggest you keep the donations until someone asks for it back. If Cat has donated, just give her money back and drop the issue.

I'm sorry you were hurt, I'm sorry Cat feels hurt, I'm sorry everyone feels as if they were led down a garden path.

We all must remember, we are a community. We cannot let this issue of taxes tear us apart. We all need to do whatever we must to keep from going bankrupt, but that doesn't mean we have to turn on each other and give each other a hard time. It means our world will look a little bit more barren then before, until everyone has the ability to replace their builds. It means we should all do what we can to make everyone feel a little bit more happy. Let's not fret upon the tax system any longer, as I'm real certain LL has heard us, and is now working on a system to help. If we find out when that system is implemented that it's still not enough, then we work at telling LL what more needs to be done.

Everyone must remember, resources are limited, for us, and for LL. We cannot expect they will just open new land because we all want lower taxes, and at the same time, they shouldn't expect us to keep up wonderful creations if those same taxes are causing us to be bankrupt. Let's all work together, LL and Players alike, to find a middle ground, where LL isn't throwing out money that they don't have to throw out, and we aren't just playing a interactive chatting game where all we can afford to make is a chair to sit on.

Cooler heads with creative suggestions and constructive criticism is what will get us all through this crisis. Let's not be like the average Joe who just complains, let's go a step further and not only acknowledge the problem, but come up with ideas and strategies to fix the problems. LL has been a very open and honest group to us, so let's not say they won't listen, they have before, and we were amazed then, so let's allow them to amaze us again.

There was one anonmyous donator that had donated quite a size able sum to Taber and Welsh Residents. When I get in game this evening I will be dividing my share of that amongst the remaining 4 members of Taber and Welsh as that money was for them to use. So please please do not give that back to me because I know the person that gave it to me will not take it back either.

I will not mention their name out of respect because they asked me not to.

i guess i don't get out much....what's Big Red?

The giant red dragon that resided in Taber.

As I promised here is the list from Aug 5th untill now of who had donated to Big Red. I did however delete off all my product sales that were listed with in this time frame.

I will be comming around in the game this evening and passing this money back to eveyone that donated again I am sorry this has had to happen. I do appreciate each and everyones support towards Big Red.

This is the only way I know to ensure that everyone understands I am not about getting on the leader boards at someone elses expense.
I have never decieved anyone out of money and I am sorry that someone seems to think that I am that shallow. Again I must apologize to everyone but at the same token thank them for their donations.

This all makes me sad, for i've enjoyed having both Shadow and Cat as neighbors.

And Si Money, the *evil* billboard man, gave Shadow $4500???? And did you notice all the Linden donations??? Way to go Si and the Lindens!

By the way, Si also recently purchased land next to Sia Sunchaser's property that someone had "ruined" with terraforming, just so he could "fix" it back for her, which he did. Then he released the land.

So this just goes to show nothing is EVER quite as it seems. And nothing is EVER black and white. Si, whom all of Clementina, Taber and Welsh has been very angry with over his billboard, has turned out to be a very kind and thoughtful neighbor in both of these instances.

Isn't life a grand and heartbreaking and interesting thing.....?

Maggie I have to agree with ya there si has shown nothing but respect and help in our area even when it came to speaking with Philip Linden with me, Sia, and David the other night. He was elequent yet stealthy in his words with Philip on our behalf. I appreciated his support and told him so. Maggie sorry this is affecting you please dont let it get to ya. I still continue to have just as much fun as before

why shouldnt the lindens enjoy the world they created?
as it is every time a linden signs on and wanders around they are swamped by people asking for their help. now we all appreciate this, and i havent once had a bad linden experience. i do think that if they like something they should be able to show it, as a person, not a "linden".
