I found it rather amusing that FFS normally is the abbreviation "For Fuck's Sake!"

Hmm, well if there won't be a "Noir" ponzi group, are there any SL royalties that need me to loan money (GUARANTEED double back) to get their wealth out of, oh I don't know, Kritannia?

"FTC Stops Spam Pyramid Scheme"
http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,35675,00.asp BTW, pyramid schemes are illegal in all 50 states and by federal law according to every site I looked. I would post the laws but who really cares? lol ![]() |

Actually, while disreputable, this does not appear to be a pyramid scheme. The wording is similar to the spam one receives touting pyramid schemes but it doesnt appear to be. Nor is it a Ponzi scheme.
It is apparantly a straight 50% comission which works linearly. That said, I definitely dont recommend joining as it sounds dubious at best. I'm surprised so many people labeled it Ponzi or pyramid (or agreed with those who did) when it obviously isnt though. Funny. Fruity, yes. Dubious, yes. Scam, quite possibly. Not Ponzi and not pyramid though, at least on the surface. -AP Edit: fixed typos |

Not Ponzi and not pyramid though, at least on the surface. Really? Let's do some basic math. Signup fee: L$1,000 Break-even: 2 Signups Case-in-Point: The structure is ultimately not self-supporting, even if it were completely linear. And, because of two signups to break even, you would see a larger base at every iteration of the scheme. Hence, pyramid scheme. Naturally, all of this is made to benefit the person at the very top. Nor does this resemble multi-level marketing or an "elevator scheme," because this doesn't appear to be strictly linear. It looks an AWFUL lot like a Ponzi or Pyramid Scheme. The early joiners make a bundle and those at the end get screwed.

Let's see what the federal goverment considers a pyramid scheme... 'In the classic "pyramid" scheme, participants attempt to make money solely by recruiting new participants into the program. The hallmark of these schemes is the promise of sky-high returns in a short period of time for doing nothing other than handing over your money and getting others to do the same. ...' This is exactly what this is, the guy wants you to pay him so you can get your friends to pay you and him. Then your friends will get their friends etc etc. It's a classic pyramid scheme if there ever was one. |
