You have indicated that 14 of the items are true of you.

Scoring:
If you answered more than fourteen of the questions as true of yourself, you are probably highly sensitive. But no psychological test is so accurate that an individual should base his or her life on it. We psychologists try to develop good questions, then decide on the cut off based on the average response.

If fewer questions are true of you, but extremely true, that might also justify calling you highly sensitive

I answered exactly 14..what the hell does that mean. It only gives a response to if its higher or lower. They don't care about the ones that answer 14. This highly upsets me, I feel left out, like i'm an outcast. They don't care!! I'm going to go cry and eat ice cream now **sniff** :p

I think I'm a HIP. That is, a highly insensitive person. In fact, I'm so HIP that I think the entire concept of HSP is bogus.

My score....

You have indicated that 24 of the items are true of you. YIKES, I think I checked nearly all... how sad is that?

19 here, but apart from being more of a worrier than most, I don't see myself as particularly sensitive - at least no more than most...

17 here, but some of them are very very true, so I probably qualify. Bah, I'm gonna go cry over a chick flick.

The difference between me and you = 0/2

The difference between me and you = 0

I never thought we were so similar

Well I finally decided to start a group....a group for HSPs. I know there are plenty of them out there, but it's difficult to tell from a simple chat.

To find out if you're one, go here: http://www.hsperson.com/pages/test.htm

Let's reach out to each other and come up with ideas :) :) !

Let me know if you're one so I can put you on the list :D

I think this is a great group idea for those who can use it! Best of luck to you! :)

I took the test...

WOW! I always thought I was more sensitive than that. I guess I would fall into the last sentence though a bit. I'm not sensitive about everything, but I am *extremely* sensitive about some things.

Pendari,

I think what it is testing is sensitivity to the environment, more than sensitivity to other people.

I think someone with Asperger's Syndrome would probably score very high on this test, but people with Asperger's tend to be unable to empathise with others.

ahh.. Ok. I just looked at the test again as a whole and yes, that makes sense what you state Selador.

I'm still learning a lot about sensory "disorders" (I'm starting to hate that word) as they tend to be very common in autistic people. Of course, not all who are autistic have sensory "disorders", and not all those with sensory "disorders" are autistic. But having an autistic child has forced me to learn about a lot of issues that I otherwise may have never known about.
