What a week.

I know this week isn't over yet, but its been a rough one. GOM debates, Teleport debates, questionable meetings between residents and the Lindens, concerns about features that are or are not in the preview for 1.7, and lets not forget about Aimees Panties.

I feel drained. I cant take anymore. I am not asking us all to agree but I never felt so depressed about the Second Life community as I do right now. I know I have been more vocal than I normally am, so I am as much to blame as anyone else.

Everyone, please turn look around to your fellow neighbor and greet them with a hug, a pat on the back or even just a hand shake. Can we just take a moment and recollect why we are all here in the first place.

We're all here for different reasons.

I'm here to fill up my coffers.

Why are YOU here?

lol beau, i still think this is nothing compared to the days after they announced part one of the removal of ratings-based stipend bonuses. The sky was REALLY falling then.

i also think this is nothing compared to the poisonous debates going back and forth when PN saturated the forums with his ideology and paranoia.

so have a hug... take a break, and go sing some tunes from "Annie" :D

I agree with Beau and support him in what he is saying. It's been hard on the community like shaking up a cereal box to find out there is no prize, or maybe a crappy prize.

I look at things very laterally (like that Tool album) and actually, while I'm writing this, I'm thinking of Beau P's funny animations.

Humor's an important thing to have. I know this from experience, having lacked it greatly at one point until I learned to laugh more. Otherwise, all the drudgery will tear you—and the ones you care about—down.

Some of the best comedy like Three's Company uses a lot of this, like misunderstandings and miscommunication. Something horrific is revealed in fact to be the source of many a laff and Friends (and a great many others) later did it too.

Art in this Second Life, it's like this big plot arc and we're in the tension part where the bombs are tickin' down and a minivan has just crashed into the side of the courthouse building filled with radioactive waste.

IN A WORLD...

Where the good vibes keep glowin'!

(not necessarily from the nuke waste either... AGRHRHRHRHHH I'M ALL GREEN)

Er, that "shoe" didn't fit.

But you can draw your own conclusions. To me, this is just a rehash of technosnobs '01 -- more precisely put, my previous experiences with flamey forums. It's an old game to me by now and I don't play it anymore... sick and tired of all the hate. :(
