I don't know, Olympia... There's a parrot that lives a few doors down from me that hangs out on the patio, and he has a far greater grasp of English than Nolan's friendly neighbor. (It's always amusing to see people stop and try to figure out who's saying Hello and Hi and HaHaHa to them as they walk past.) My guess is the bird's spelling would also be an improvement. Good point.  You may be right about the bird being able to spell: forgive the hijack. From webpage about a bird trained to understand words and sounds: Thus we tried to get [Alex, the parrot] to sound out refrigerator letters, the same way one would train children on phonics. We were doing demos at the Media Lab for our corporate sponsors; we had a very small amount of time scheduled and the visitors wanted to see Alex work. So we put a number of differently coloured letters on the tray that we use, put the tray in front of Alex, and asked, "Alex, what sound is blue?" He answered, "Ssss." It was an "s", so we said "Good birdie" and he replied, "Want a nut." I didn't want him sitting there using our limited amount of time to eat a nut, so I told him to wait, and asked, "What sound is green?" Alex answered, "Ssshh." He was right, it was "sh," and we went through the routine again: "Good parrot." "Want a nut." "Alex, wait. What sound is orange?" "Ch." "Good bird!" "Want a nut." We went on and on and Alex clearly got more and more frustrated. He finally got very slitty-eyed and looked at me and stated, "Want a nut. Nnn, uh, tuh." _____________________

Down in the lower right hand area, there is a key with a little dot on it, called a period. Try throwing in some of these at random spots. ..... Also, the key called Shift can be used now and then, usually at the beginning of sentences, or when typing a proper name and it will really jazz up your post. _____________________

There may have been some nationalistic feelings driving you, it did seem that way at the time. The only person I thought was being directly ethnocentric (the nationalistic aspect of the word, not racist - I was honestly confused when Kris accused me of accusing her of racism, "American" is a nationality, not a race) was Kris, and she wasn't barred as far as I know. I would imagine you simply popped onto the Linden's radar one too many times, as I have never seen anyone barred for invoking the word "twat" before. Perhaps LL interpreted your motivations as nationalistic and therefore intolerant in nature, I don't know, I can't speak for them. Charlotte, I realize you're a passionate person, however, there are limits to what you can say here. I would think that the number of times you have been edited since you started SL would make you aware of that. No one forces those words out of your mouth except you. If there are then consequences for what you say, you should be looking within, not without... _____________________
