I live with someone in RL. I consider it cheating if I were to conduct an SL relationship online.

Well, I think she was referring to your poll option, "No, I have a steady girlfriend in real life."

I am dating someone I met in SL and have been since last year. I would have loved him anywhere we'd met. :D

You're not ever going to date again?

Given Second Life's demographics? Hell no.

Edit: Poll and Topic Sentence are two different questions. "Hell no" is for real dating in SL in general (and, for that matter, in General).

After all, we have plenty of virtual brothels without worrying about real ones!

Same situation here, Lo.

Yes, dating someone from SL in RL, we don't live together, but we are quite happy with where we are at in our relationship. :)

Hmm. I think firefox may be broken; it isn't parsing the "Nope, women are trouble" option...

I'm married in RL, but that's not the reason I'm not dating anyone in SL.

I don't date in SL for the same reason I don't stab myself repeatedly in the eye with a pencil... or have children. The last thing I need is a bunch of meaningless grief, or someone making demands on my time. No thanks.

Edited to add: Unless you mean dating in RL.. and then yes, it's because I'm married. Hubby would frown on that.

Nope - married in RL ..

But again, the social aspects of SL aren't really what engage me. I like creating things, and for me the act of creation is usually a solitary one.
I'm happiest with a screenfull of scripts and an handfull of prims - I only have a finite amount of time each day I can spend in SL, and so I prefer to spend it doing something I enjoy. Having someone else sapping away at that time would make me very unhappy.

Although I do socialize, I prefer that to be a time and in an environment I have some control over.. I don't like crowds in RL, and I like to keep an area of 'personal space'.. these things carry over to SL too.. I prefer to keep my social life in world limited to a very small circle of close friends, and small groups of thier associates.

So what I'm hitting at here is that the large club social aspects of SL are not 'my cup of tea' - so even if I *were* available, I'd be a lousy date.

Siggy.

Joke's on you. I'm a man.

I'd probably make a terrible SL girlfriend as I can completely tune anyone out while I'm working on something.

Agreed, but I picked Yes, since Trin and I met in SL, started dating IRL, and then started dating in SL. We have things a bit bass-ackwards.
