Tired of all the usual stuff on these forums, they have become so predictable and stale. How about something positive during the Thanksgiving Holidays for a change. (Please no rants about how you hate thanksgiving in this thread, this is not the place for that)

I am thankful for a loving family, great friends and a good job. I am thankful to live in the United States, for all its warts I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I am thankful for a God who loves me, faults and all. I am thankful for the friends I have made through this crazy thing called Second Life.

There is much more, but that is nuff for now. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! :)

I am thankful for the wonderful little brown woman who has decided to share her life with me, my daughter, my new job, new car, imported wine, imported rum, friends, family and skirts.

These are very sad times to be an American but where is the rage among the citizenry? Where are the flag wavers who so laud the freedoms symbolized by a flag and written by quill pens in our constitution? Why are we not rallying in the streets against this sort of attrocity? Why because we are gluttonous lazy bastards who say it won't happen to me so who cares. --Ishtar Pasteur

I am thankful that I am born with complete physical features.

I am thankful that I have a working mind to make my own decisions.

I am grateful for all my memories, no matter how unpleasing they can be because whatever that I have experienced, they are a learning journey for me. And helps me to become stronger, more prepared.

I am thankful for my family, my mother's strength who's carried me - without which, I'd probably be in a different state compared to where I am, today.

I am grateful for the people that I meet, every one of them are a teacher. The people I love, for supporting and caring for me.

And so many other things I am thankful for ...

Hehehe ... And one more ;)

---

Things to be thankful for

For the wife who says it's hot dogs tonight because she is home with me, not with someone else.

For the husband who is on the sofa who is being a couch potato because he is home with me and not out at the bars.

For the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes, because that means she is at home, not on the streets.

For the taxes that i pay, because it means that i am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party, because it means that i have been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too tight, because it means i have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work, because it means i am out in the sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing, because it means i have a home.

For all the complaining, i hear about the government, because it means that we have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot i find at the far end of the parking lot, because it means i am capable of walking and that i have been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating bill, because it means i am warm.

For the lady behind me in church that sings off key, because it means that i can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing, because it means i have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, because it means that i have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours, because it means that i am alive.

And finally...for too much e-mail, because it means i have friends who are thinking of me.

Thankful for being here. That G_d didn't say my time was up when I had my heart attack in
September. I get to see my spouse and kids around the table for another year.
As much as some of you folks drive me crazy. Glad to be here to see all this :)

Happy Holidays
