Lianne, I believe he left to make a statement, and teach us all a very important lesson - That a person can make what many found a very offensive AV depicting racial stereotypes, and not get banned - that same person can later crash the grid. And then get banned. Well, and go get an alt and come back anyways from what I've heard. <This was supposed to be many, many mad faces and rolling eye faces to indicate overwealming frusteration. But then it told me I couldn't attach that many images>

And I've learned a very important lesson today too, and thats that when you cannot scream and yell to try to get things your way, you should resort to drastic and terrible measures.

That's why I'm holding these two widdle bunnies hostage, and will eat them if Pandastrong is not found and reattached to SL within 48 hours!

Actually, I heard that Pandastrong has been captured by the government, and is being held as an Enemy Combatant in an undiclosed location for terrorism activities. What follows is a brief illustration of his crimes....

I'm going to dissent from this PandaBJ. I'm honestly furious at him. I considered p-bear to be a great friend, and he dumped me. Doesn't email me, doesn't IM me, not a word from him. This makes me feel used. I understand that he was upset, and I understand that he was trying to make a point.

My problem is I got and agreed with his point, and my reward for it is a "friend" who didn't think enough of me to want to continue our friendship. This, I believe is the lesson I'm left with. So I won't join a pandalovefest, no.

Wow, that's strange. I thought he at least was keeping touch with some people, hence the rabbit ploy. I though he was funny as hell, but didn't know him in world or much through the forums, kinda shocked to hear that he would just sorta... ignore/cut his ties with everyone here to make some abstract point about LL...?

I miss him, too. I doubted, though, that it was entirely a matter of making a statement. It so often isn't, when people quit a game. The thing they say they are quitting over is often just one more bummer thing they're upset about, and actually they have more than just that going on, things in the game and/or irl. And the thing they quit over is sort of the straw that breaks the camel's back. Hearing that he hasn't kept up with a friend makes me think even more that it isn't just a statement of some kind.

Anybody know if he is still okay and bopping along in life as per usual?

It really does hurt when people you care about don't keep in touch. I left SL for awhile after being hurt by someone. I sent out notecards with a very nice sentiment on how much people meant to me but that I needed to go away from SL for awhile due to the circumstances. It also had my contact info so my supposed friends could contact me and let me know where I could write them as well. People that begged me not to leave never even tried to keep in contact. When I decided to come back I deleted most everyone and started over. I have told myself that I will not be taken advantage of anymore. I do not want nor need fair-weather friends. My feelings for people is true and real and it does hurt when people don't take 5 minutes to drop an email...

On a side note, I'll be your friend, I love tacos mmm.

I think he left (or changed into an alt or whatever), because he was bored.

Other than the "giant stone penis thread" and the "racist avatar" thread, the poor guy never said more that "LOL" for the whole last couple of months he was here.

Beaten down by the system perhaps, but also I think he might have just got tired of posting silly pictures. He has a lot more to offer than that.

Dunno, but one of the last times I talked to him I told him that he was a horrible person because of his RL profession (which I can't say because of TOS, but just think "Jesus" and it'll be a comparatively similar metaphor for how much it appalled me. On a side note, I'm quite often attracted to appalling things. The first time someone told me to drink hot tea with a straw wasn't the last.).

I said it because my internal dialogue briefly changed into the exact replica of Kyle from South Park. It is a mysteriously powerful voice.
