From: Rusholme Malone What the hell are you doing in the South East then?! It's a well-known fact that the world's best curries are to be found right here in South Manchester. Yes, you are quite right. One of these days I will have to get myself up there to see how many curries I can eat in one day. But we do have some good restaurants down here, if you know where to look. Southall is a good place to start.

From: Aodhan McDunnough Given that a lot of English food are bland when compared to most asian cuisines it would be logical that Indians doing business there will make their curries less spicy.
Next time you are here, try a vindaloo.

From: Teeny Leviathan Why do they call it Curry Mile? I thought you guys were into the Metric System. Teeny, you would be amazed. Like all things, instead of embracing the metric system we have sort of half accepted it. So the temperature is in Celsius, which means that people of my generation have no idea what the temperature actually *is*, but we use centimeters, meters and *miles*. Actually we also use feet and inches sometimes as well. Because we fill our cars in litres rather than gallons, we have no reliable way of gauging petrol consumption. We used to use miles per gallon, but because we don't have gallons any more we have a problem. All I know is that petrol now costs almost a pound per litre. Perhaps it's just as well we can't express that in the cost per gallon.
