Two slices Oroweat OatNut bread. (Any good bread will do in a pinch.)

Toasted.

Spread one side with crunchy peanut butter.

Spread the other side with Miracle Whip. (NOT mayonnaise! It won't work!)

Put them together into a sandwich.

Bliss.

NO, NO, NO -- must be Helmann's REAL mayo with peanut butter. MW is too sweet - with the mayo, you've got salty and sweet in both mayo and pb... dynamite. My fave sandwich to take to school when I was a kid.

Why make a poll that compares two condiments to an entire, delicious baked dessert? What kind of fool would choose a helping of mayo over a helping of pie?? :p

Edit: And having just viewed the poll results -- how can mayo be winning over pie here? What's wrong with you people?

Miracle Whip. I loooove it. The tang/sweetness is exactly why I like it and don't like Mayo.

Alan's Chicken Salad Sandwich (stolen from his mom): Small can of white chunk chicken, two large spoonfuls of relish, couple of spoonfuls of Miracle Whip, mix, put on Oat Nut bread with lettuce and perhaps tomato if you dig that. Throw some potato chips on the side.

Yummy.

Alex, relax, its multiple choice. You can choose pie -and- mayo.

Freshly prepared mayo. If you want less fatty or lighter, just add less oil.

I never heard of fresly prepared miracle whip.

Mayo for sure. Miracle Whip is too sweet. A couple of pieces of english muffin bread, toasted, with a light glaze of butter, then pile on the bacon and mayo. mmmmmmm. My arteries are hardening just thinking about it.

Right... you british are the only people I discovered who eat their fried bacon and eggs on bread, without the eggs... ;)

I had me a big fried bacon sandwich there though, and i agree... It's too much of everything (grease, fat, salt)... but i guess that's why it works.

Yes, but mayo still has more votes. :(

On that note, amazingly, I seem to be somehow wonderfully immune to the consequences of consuming too much bad cholesterol. I eat bacon, eggs and the like constantly, and every time I get a check-up, my blood is still just fine. :p

hehe, I'm an American. I eat bacon plain, or in sandwiches, by itself, or with a fried egg, or with lettuce and tomato. Mmmmmmm bacon. Really having bacon in a sandwich is just an excuse to slather it in mayo. It would be odd to do it to plain bacon... or maybe not odd, but messy!
