Yes. But there are still those who actually worship Satan. As Satan was God's most beautiful and highest in charge Angel. It was only when Satan challenged God and thought the Angels should be treated as well or better than humans (which they are not) that Lucifer created an army against God to overthrow his power. God then cast Lucifer out of heaven and forbid Lucifer to ever return. Since then, Lucifer has been fighting for souls to keep them away from God and show them another way.

So. Yes you must believe in the Christian God to believe in Lucifer. :)

correct me if I am wrong, but the Satanic doctrine is not the worship of satan, but the discarding of religion and God in all forms

That would be more like athiesm. Satan worship is much different.

not in my understanding of it, being informed by a practicing satanist

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanism

Although named for Satan, a name associated with evil and temptation, Satanism is more commonly the name given to certain spiritual paths which emphasize the Left-Hand Path, as opposed to the much more common Right-Hand Path. Left-Handers believe in spiritual enrichment through their own work on themselves, and that ultimately they are answerable only to themselves, while Right-Handers believe in spiritual enrichment through the dissolution or submission of the self to (or into) something greater. Many Satanists do not in fact worship a deity called Satan, or necessarily any other deity, nor do they follow a principle of evil. This aspect of their beliefs is very commonly misunderstood.

Instead of divine laws or naturistic principles (such as in wicca), Satanism generally focuses upon spiritual advancement of the self without requiring guidance from external higher beings or external principles, instead of submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. For this reason, many contemporary Satanists eschew traditional religious beliefs, attitudes and worship in favor of more egoistic, self-centering worldviews, natural law, survival of the fittest and practices such as materialism, individualism and magick.

and my understanding (pre wikipedia) is coming from someone whose band played on Conan O Brian

but he hates me, I fired his ass cuz he was a tweaker porn thief

he can hire better lawyers than me, so no I won't tell you who

Yes. This is what I meant by "Lucifer has been fighting for souls to keep them away from God and show them another way".

I never said Lucifer was bad. Only that he defied God according to Christian doctrine. It depends on your beliefs in God as well as what you believe of Satan as to if that is a bad thing or not though. :)

I tried clicking here, but no info appeared.

I agree no shaivism, no santaria, no Kabalistic Jews, no LaVey Satanism, no Temple of Set, no Chaotes, no Dark Spirituality, no Kabalistic Jews, no Zoroastrianism.

Granted I only partially agree with two of these religions, because they are almost atheistic, but still these would be fun religions to find a random percentage on. Just think how fun it would be to see numbers like 70% christian 60% satanist 50% santaria. lol

Look up Anton LaVey and Temple of Set. I think you are thinking that all satanist are the same. There are many different groups that would consider themselves Satanist. Those two are the biggest I know of.

Two things of note:
Taoism came in at exactly 50% (hmmm.... )
Scientology was at 61%! That's pretty high, I would think.

Aside from that, I'd say it's pretty accurate:

1. Neo-Pagan (100%)
2. New Age (91%)
3. Unitarian Universalism (90%)
4. Mahayana Buddhism (89%)
5. Reform Judaism (78%)

You scored as atheism.

You are... an atheist, though you probably already knew this. Also, you probably have several people praying daily for your soul. Instead of simply being "nonreligious," atheists strongly believe in the lack of existence of a higher being, or God.

second quiz..
You scored as Christianity.

Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren't already Christian. Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the idea of instead of seeking revenge, one should love his or her neighbors and enemies. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind and forgive people's sins.

These two questions are highly suspicious and make me wonder how it is scored:
  1. "All life organisms alive today were created through random processes." (Wouldn't an atheist be as likely to disagree with the wording as any one else? It's not random if there is order, is it? The test designer's notion of what an atheist should believe affects this question.)
  2. "Sex is the woman's right, not the man's." (If I answer this negatively, am I agreeing with the opposite? If a question is n/a, why is that a negation? Shouldn't n/a be in the middle since it represents indecision?)

Haha. It doesn't subdivide anything else either.

Ah, MUCH better quiz, Lucifer!

Somehow I just *knew* you would join this discussion sooner or later, even though I hadn't quite believed that you existed.

Did I serve to enlighten anyone in any way?

Or was this all simply an evil ploy of mine to see if Ulrika would waste 3.7 minutes of her life filling out such a pointless, garish quiz?

For anyone converting to Quakerism - ah, it was most definitely *not* a ploy, no, not even in the slightest way. :)

The test reveals more about the test designer than the taker.
