From: Corvus Drake Get him messed up on acid, show him his reflection, then show him a picture of a chimp. Convince him he's a chimp, make him strip and shove him in a pen at the zoo at 2 AM. Watch live news video the next morning. I don't think real lsd is even needed with him.

From: Alysia Loudon I don't think real lsd is even needed with him. Suddenly I'm reminded of the episode of "That's My Bush" where Bush took a cupful of ecstacy.

From: Kendra Bancroft I don't even think he'd be a good drinking buddy. He's probably one of those real obnoxious drunks that keeps repeating the same old jokes over and over ... Knowing his clunky way with words, he'd be blowing the punchlines too.

Bush is not a nazi. That sounds like a very childish statement there.
However, he does have a very bad policy which is why I am not a big fan of him.

Welcome to the Police State: Bush submits new terror bil WASHINGTON - U.S. citizens suspected of terror ties might be detained indefinitely and barred from access to civilian courts under legislation proposed by the Bush administration, say legal experts reviewing an early version of the bill. http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/7/29/83838/8216proto-fascist. (i fear a truly full-on fascist state with this child at the helm. and jr. is -truly- childish.)

You know, I've always been very vocal, but the more I think on it, the more I'm beginning to believe that now's a good time to stop having any openly expressed opinions about anything. I can't believe I'm seriously saying that, but ... I just don't know if I can train myself to shut up, smile, and pretend I don't see what's happening. But that may be the only wise option.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_they_came... First they came... is a poem attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892-1984) about the quiescence of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group. When the Nazis came for the communists, I remained silent; I was not a communist. When they locked up the social democrats, I remained silent; I was not a social democrat. When they came for the trade unionists, I did not speak out; I was not a trade unionist. When they came for the Jews, I did not speak out; I was not a Jew. When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out. (p.s. oooo i like wiki - never knew legendary pink dots did a version of it...)

The American republic is compromised well beyond repair and was well before I was even born. I'd like to do something, and if I could do something, I would, but there just isn't anything left to do but try to ride out the coming days, survive somehow, and maybe help anyone in my immediate orbit I can help.

The problem is that I read a little too much. I understand that Bush is only a symptom of a much larger problem that will long outlive him, and I understand that the reality of what's going on is well beyond the average person's ability to ever likely grasp. There will be no revolt. "Vote the bastards out" is actually impossible. And the only thing that might make the police state fall apart is our running out of energy (which seems very possible, even likely, at this point), which isn't really any better at all. The reality is that trying to fix the system is missing the point that the system is beyond repair, beyond even salvaging. Cling to it, and you're clinging to the Titanic. The only viable option is to start looking for lifeboats.

I'm talking specifically about the current American one. I see a lot of well-meaning people who want to "reform" it, and to me, that looks like trying to "fix" the Titanic after striking the iceburg: very well-intentioned and very, very hopeless and ultimately counterproductive.

Dear Mr. President Come take a walk with me Let's pretend we're just two people and You're not better than me I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly
What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep What do you feel when you look in the mirror Are you proud
How do you sleep while the rest of us cry How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye How do you walk with your head held high Can you even look me in the eye And tell me why
Dear Mr. President Were you a lonely boy Are you a lonely boy Are you a lonely boy How can you say No child is left behind We're not dumb and we're not blind They're all sitting in your cells While you pave the road to hell
What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay I can only imagine what the first lady has to say You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine
How do you sleep while the rest of us cry How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye How do you walk with your head held high Can you even look me in the eye
Let me tell you bout hard work Minimum wage with a baby on the way Let me tell you bout hard work Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away Let me tell you bout hard work Building a bed out of a cardboard box Let me tell you bout hard work Hard work Hard work You don't know nothing bout hard work Hard work Hard work Oh
How do you sleep at night How do you walk with your head held high Dear Mr. President You'd never take a walk with me Would you

I'm waiting for him to start illegalizing everything regarding free speech.
Lets see.. the NSA is watching and spying, something that Hitler did. The police is stalking us, something that Hitler did.
Shall I continue?

The police is stalking us, something that Hitler did. Shall I continue? I don't know that that'll really be necessary. With such a sweeping dismantling of even our most basic rights, it's easy enough to just imprison any political enemies without giving any reasons at all, or perhaps while giving false reasons ("he/she is a known terrorist" . In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we always continue to have "free speech" and be a "free country." If you get my meaning.

You are right, of course. Bush is not a Nazi.
He is a pawn of the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo. We have nuclear capable bi-pedal tanks under development in Alaska right now. Just you wait. When an Oil tanker sinks near the Verazano Bridge, I'll be one of the few people who knows whats really going on....

From: Nyoko Salome some of this morn's headlines from http://www.dailykos.com/Welcome to the Police State: Bush submits new terror bill "WASHINGTON - U.S. citizens suspected of terror ties might be detained indefinitely and barred from access to civilian courts under legislation proposed by the Bush administration, say legal experts reviewing an early version of the bill." GOP GIVES PARIS HILTON $91M @ 2AM! "Sigh. If only Paris Hilton were an oil company, then she'd get even more." from http://americablog.blogspot.com/$7 Billion Giveaway to Oil and Gas Companies The federal government is on the verge of one of the biggest giveaways of oil and gas in American history, worth an estimated $7 billion over five years.New projections, buried in the Interior Department's just-published budget plan, anticipate that the government will let companies pump about $65 billion worth of oil and natural gas from federal territory over the next five years without paying any royalties to the government. ummm... and meanwhile, our troups still don't have adequate bulletproof jackets and stuff... georgie sez: "fuck you if you're poor!! jesus is my hero!!" ...and then gas would be cheaper and then poor people could afford more...oh, nevermind...if I have to explain it, it just isn't fun anymore. Really, what are you guys gonna do when the Republicans take the White House in '08? (Condi!!!!) As far as this issue goes (they're also considering Czech Republic and Hungary), I say fine. They don't want us there, we shouldn't be there. We'll keep the millions of dollars we would pay in rent for the land, that our military would spend on the local economy, etc. These countries think if they keep their heads deep enough in the sand that nothing will happen to them. I honestly hope they don't learn just how wrong they are. -Kiamat Dusk
