Thank you very much Willow, that has been an ongoing Q to the point of distraction. The fact that is a type O is ROFL. So I suppose teh and meh are similar? Isn't teh a deliberate or sometimes not mispelt the? I know i do that sometimes if I am typing in a hurry OR deliberately being a spaz. Meh is more of a "Meh -It's alright" Underthusiastic eh...? _____________________

I can post my ignore list and want to ignore list if you like? I warn you, its long. I put people on ignore for many reasons, including overly large image signatures. Don't see why I should turn off all sigs just for a few people who want to shove half page adverts in my face with every two word post. Which is another thing that gets up my nose, btw. Those people who say, "If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen!" This is a way of dismissing people's concerns without the effort of thinking about what they say. It's a bit like advocating suicide for people who have problems in real life. People who use the terms 'whine' and 'whining'. These words again are used to dismiss other people's concerns without having to expend any intellectual effort on thinking about what they say. It displays a contemptuous attitude to others, and I'm afraid I see anybody who uses these words as suffering from an inflated ego. People who respond to people's complaints about some aspect of Second Life with a comment like the following: "Listen people, Linden Lab owns Second Life, and they can do what they like. It's their game." In general this kind of sentence is used to respond to a concern about what is perceived as an unjust decision on the part of Linden Lab. This response deliberately confuses moral issues with legal ones. In general the comment that provoked this response is about what LL *should* do, not about what they *can* do. Carry that viewpoint over into real life, and you would consider jaywalking as serious a thing as murder. Ah, I do feel better after that.  Aw, Seledor, do you feel better now? Is there anything I can do to help. I too really dislike people who go around forums and make stupid comments (much like every response to this whine thread of yours). What can we do as Sl'ers to make reality better? We should tell people that we don't like them being insensitive to our pathetic whines. Even if LL wants to assert control of the boards, we should demand that they make us feel better! Stop whining you big cry baby. Pull your nuts down and get on with your life you pathetic sobbing child! I said all that to make you feel better! So, it isn't that I didnt want to think about what I said. To the contrary, I very carefully chose my words. I am certain that what I have said here is excellent advice that works in SL and in REAL LIFE equally as well. |
