What they forgot to add is that the Hulkling isn't even human. He is a hybrid between 2 extraterrestrial alien races, the Kree and the Skrulls. Marvel comics has been known for years to deal with real world issues a lot more than DC has.

They are around in the real world why not an imaginary one.

I followed the link in some bemusement - wondering about the fact that the sexual orientation of a comic book character should make the news. I was even more bemused by the street corner interviews, where the interviewees suddenly started talking about Jesus Christ.

America sometimes seems so strange to me.

Yeah but Batwoman is a dumb idea. There is a reason we all know batman and bat girl, but who the hell heard of batwoman, except for a brief stint in the late 50's.

I applaud the notion of a lesbian superhero, I just think its a gimmick to ressurect a bad title. If you want someone to come out of the closet, make it someone menaingful, like Mystique or kitty pride, or jean grey. Now that would be a major revelation.
