I'm surprised these two haven't showed up yet: Furcadia and Phantasy Star Online
PSO was my first real exposure to something like an MMORPG.. These pics aren't the latest version of PSO, but all I ever played was the first one, on my Dreamcast.
Furcadia was the only time before SL that I ever heard anyone talk about furries. ^.^
