From: Stankleberry Sullivan Eh, you do things your way, I'll do them mine. Do you know what the term "community" means? Civil discourse? Intelligent repartee? People like you give the rest of us Newbies a really bad name. (and I still think you're Bill O'Relilly) Now that I know the value you bring to a discussion, I have no problems with your postings whatsoever.

From: Stankleberry Sullivan It was a joke, dippy. Did you see this line in the OP's post?
I implore everyone -- stop being jerks. It's frustrating.
That's why I made my post. So calm yourself, whiny. George Bush owns you. George bush owns me Bwahahahaha. I'm not even American Bwahahahaha

I have a theory. Stankleberry is actually a computer program along the lines of those old psychologist programs.
Example: Human: I feel tired today. Program: You feel tired today? Human: I've been up late alot recently. Program: Why have you been up alot recently? Human: Because there's this really cool computer game I like to play. Program: There is this really cool computer game you like to play? Human: Yes, it's called SecondLife. Program: Why is it called SecondLife?
... etc so forth, you get the idea.
no for the stankleberry version.
Human: Stop being jerks, it's frustrating. Stankleberry: I'm not a Jerk, you're a jerk. Human: If you're going to be a troll, at least be entertaining. Stankleberry: I'm not a troll, you're a troll. Human: I think I'm good at humor but I didn't get your joke either. Stankleberry: I don't care if you get my joke. Human: Well, Happy Holidays to you, Bill O'Reilly! Stankleberry: My name is Stankleberry, not Bill O'Reilly! Human: You sound a lot like a troll. Stankleberry: I think you are confused about what a troll is. Human: Which Farker are you? Curious. Stankleberry: I'm not from there. Human: Do you know what the term "community" means? Stankleberry: Yes, I know what "community" means. Human: George bush owns me Bwahahahaha. Stankleberry: I think you are confused about what owned is.
it's amazing, i think I could actually script stankleberry or a reasonable facimily...

Can't you deign to post intelligent arguments on the topic at hand, even if they may not be understood, appreciated, and otherwise recieved as golden wisdom?

Then I get lame responses telling me about how I should act. There's no reason to try to have intelligent conversations with people that believe that they are everyone's mommy.

From: Stankleberry Sullivan You're the one that's a jerk. Unless I missed something, that was your first post... This is an intelligent argument about the topic? I was willing to go with misunderstood humor, but then you posted again. From: Stankleberry Sullivan I'm not a troll. Maybe you should mind your business. That just doesn't shout "I was being funny".

Do you understand now, or will there be more whining?

There's no reason to try to have intelligent conversations with people that believe that they are everyone's mommy. It is wrong for anyone to order you to behave in the fashion they desire. However, acting with complete disregard to what other people think of you is unlikely to get anyone's attention other than sycophants'.

As far as funny goes... From: Stankleberry Sullivan There's no reason to try to have intelligent conversations with people that believe that they are everyone's mommy. Who's yo daddy! Weak I know, but notice the shortened form of "you" indicating that this is an impression or caricature. Notice also the ! instead of a ? on a statement with the structure of a question, indicating that it's rhetorical and/or declarative rather than interrogatory. Finally, the big is a clear indicator that at least the author feels as if he's being humourous.

Some people don't like me, there isn't anything I can do about it. If people here don't want to be friends with me because I'm not nice to whiners, that's a shame.

For someone who doesn't like whiners, you do seem to whine about them a lot. I have no personal reason to dislike you so I'm not saying that in a condescending way, it's meant as a literal observation. Communication is a two way street. Putting people off can be funny, but it won't get people to wise up to what you want to show them.

You could put them in their place with logic and examples instead of writing them all off as whining whiners and bringing up how they are imposing their mommyhood on you when you don't need to in order to make your points. It does sound like whining.

It does sound like whining. Yea, I tried putting them in their place for awhile, but it doesn't really accomplish anything. People that think they are everyone's mommy never realize that they've been put in their place, so it's pointless to bother. It's more productive to just be hostile towards them.

From: Stankleberry Sullivan Don't cry. Can't you put me on ignore or something? Damned right we can. Congratulations, you're the first person I've ever put on Ignore on the SL forums. I would explain why, but you don't care, and I'm pretty sure anyone else reading anything you've posted so far understands already.
