here's the dizzle my SLizzles..
i'm dying to get SL:UT off the ground.. oh wait.. there's a whole SLEW of newbs meandering about. ok.. short history lesson..
SL:UT = Second Life : Ultimate Truth
definition: in-world/online tabloid-style mag that's been in the planning stages for about a year.. yet, still hasn't gotten ANYWHERE near getting off the ground.

now, as i was saying, can i get a WOOP WOOP!?!
i've been thinking more and more abuot SL:UT lately and how i'd love to get this thing off the ground.. finally. but maybe.. possibly.. if i got a kick in the ass from some fellow SLers it might help get me in gear.
i have the ideas to really make this thing fly if i dig in and get started.
so.. C'MON!

Aw dammit!!! I saw SL:UT and my first thought was "Second Life: Unreal Tournament" You had my hopes up!!

More than most places around here?? You ain't seen nothing yet. Chinatown was BEAUTIFUL, but at least for my old computer (the one I was using at the time), I would regularly get 2-4fps there. Considering it was meant to be a FPS shoot-em-up environment, the lag sorta killed it for me. You can see a bunch of screenshots at SLPICS, look at the older shots there, as 2 or 3 of the top ones are not the chinatown I'm refering to.   They even did reflections in the water on the streets! Beautiful but terrribly laggy (Yes, it was worse than now... butthen before I was on a POS computer, and now I'm on the top of the line killer iMac, so YMMV). -Ghoti _____________________
