It has been resently brought to my attention that LL has revoked Basic account pensions of 50L per week this disgusts me as seeing as it is the only source of steady income what about us little people Premium get 500L every week and we are given the great lump sum of 0!I ask but this why LL why

The answer to that is quite simple, Heindrich- now that Basic accounts no longer require validation, having free weekly stipends for these accounts would lead to a lot of people gaming the system.

If they still offered L$50/week for Basic accounts, all someone would have to do is create an automated script to create 200 alts. Every week they would have another automated system that would funnel all the weekly stipends into one account, and now they make L$10,000/week for doing nothing.

Do you think you could add a few more exclamation points, please?

Thank you.

Why don't you consider actually CONTRIBUTING something to this world instead of expecting handouts? Make yourself useful! Otherwise, if you don't like it -- LEAVE!

I have nothing against exclamation points. Indeed, I can safely say that an exclamation point has never really done me any harm at all. I have the greatest admiration for several exclamation points, and none of them has ever done anything to anger me.

However, I do feel that they are a bit like teenaged children - when they hang around in groups they do tend to draw unwelcome attention to themselves. Sometimes if one of them has something to say, he can best say it on his own. The more of his friends who join him, the more watered-down his message becomes.

Because most of you are alts, griefers, teens who aren't supposed to be in the MG anyway, and gambling/porn tourists.

Buy Lindens -- if you can't buy Lindens, you're a waste of bandwidth, anyway. You can't buy clothes, furniture, or anything else without Lindens -- why do you think you should be able to play the slots when the Premium accounts are supporting LL and your freeloading?

I agree the point was taken way off and now people are jumping to the bit and well ripping each other to shreds while one confused guy tries to defend himself while his question is unanswered just because he said something you don't like you all turn into monsters who try to see who can create the most hurtful posts

You might get outraged too easily. Being a bumb myself, i'm going to waster my little mind power.

Here, have some boiled peanuts.

So, the conclusion I have drawn from this thread is that:
Pensions for basic accounts were removed to remove the penchant for basic accounts.

basically
