Al Qaeda leader calls on Bush to return body of 'great knight'

Friday, June 30, 2006; Posted: 6:19 a.m. EDT (10:19 GMT)

(CNN) -- An audio message posted Friday on an Islamic Web site purports to be the voice of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, grieving over the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and taunting President Bush.

I thought this guy was suppose to be dead already...supposedly bombed to death in Tora Bora bombings.

Well regardless, he is still alive and delivering messages... Unless those are like some cia messages planted by the administration to help bolster the war on terror.

That's what Kendra told me!

Kendra also doesn't think the CIA is quite that competent. Of course, it's hard for me to argue with her when she says that :)

LOL!!

Well... I really don't think (regardless of how loud Michael Moore shouts it) that our government was responsible for 9/11. I don't think the administration is using Bin Laden as a carrot & stick leading the donkey that is the War on Terrorism.

Bin Laden has millions of dollars and lots of fundamentalist willing to do him favors. Getting himself a dialysis machine probably did not require a herculean effort.

Isn't Bin Laden a much more interesting baddie replacement than those crusty old 1980s villians, the Russians? Much more mileage out of him!

Another fake tape. That Osama feller sure shows up whenever Bush needs him the most.

The "Osama" of this tape implicitly confesses his responsibility for orchestrating the attacks on 9-11.

However, in a tape released on December 27, 2001, the authenticity of which is not in doubt, Osama denied having had anything to do with 9/11.

Osama is dead.

I've always thought the reason they never found Bin Laden in Afghanistan was he lives in an underground cave mockup, at Camp David

Wait for the "intelligence documents" claiming a link between Bin Laden and Iran.

Besides, hasn't Osama always disliked him? It's been said Zarqawi wanted the top man spot.

Either way, it's fishy.

The War Powers article Kendra posted was interesting.

This is of course becuase we have wars without legally going to war any more.

there would have been a time in US history massive abuses of war waging authority in undeclared wars woudl have been grounds for impeachment.

Now congress passes a bill saying "okay we are not at war but you can go in and blow people up - have a nice day"

#1 - Oh shit, my approval rating is in the toilet, I'd better finally take blame for something..

#2 - I'm sorry this is happening to these people, but, boy, am I sure glad it's not me!

ok lets debate this some shall we?

1. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2005/9/4/151327.shtml

as you can see, responsibility for evacuations and such are not Federal responsibilities, they are local and state problems. So he is taking the blame for something he shouldn't have to take the blame for, sounds like compassion to me.

2. Do you have a solution? Yeah didn't think so. Let me know when you come up with something better.
