Hahaha, illegal occupation. What are you talking about? Israel took land when they were invaded by a bunch of countries, in 48, in 67, in 73. It is acceptable to take land when another country invades yours, so you can better protect yourself from that country. There is nothing illegal about occupying land that is filled with people that like to blow themselves up in the restaurants and clubs of your country.

I've seen indications that the US is planning an attack on Iran pretty much monthly since 2001. And I'm sure they had plans for decades before that as well, ever since the revolution. It's when they actually do something that it becomes significant. And I don't think it will happen, even with the level of delusion that seems to be part of the US administration at the moment - there simply aren't the resources for a proper attack. Even a strike would be problematic. It's diplomatic gaming IMO.

Good point, Ordinal. Over my holiday break, I immersed myself in an existential NetFlix flicka-fest: Back-to-back Bowling for Columbine, The Truman Show and Farenheit 911. (Forget meth - this was a REAL mind altering experience.)

What I totally got from this escapade is that GovCo is doing everything in its power to prop up the perception of impending doom and gloom so that it can justify programs such as it's allegedly illegal domestic intercepts.

As for Israel, that tiny strip of desert has been "occupied" by one tribe, nation or race from time immemorial. The issue, here, is not Israel's right to exist, but rather, the blatant racist attitudes held by some Arab and Persian nations who loathingly despise the Jews. In my opinion, the US acts nobly when it steps in to protect the oppressed. Whether or not that is the case in Iraq is very much debatable. As for Iran, I'd suggest we all scrutinize every shred of evidence before giving our elected leaders the nod to move forward with an invasion.
