I will never forget. For x-mas when I was 10 years old, I got a Commodor Vic20. I had a joystick to play games but never used it. I preferred keys. My favorite game was Radar Ratrace. I miss that game

Mine was a no-name clone of an IBM XT, with 640k of RAM and a 30 MB hard drive, and (woohoo!) 4 color CGA graphics, running MS-DOS 3.3.

Sound: 3 channels and 5 octaves. Speech synthesis with optional add-on module. RAM: 16K (52K max). ROM: 26K (command modules can give up to 34K extra). Keyboard: Full size, 40 key, typewriter style. Expansion: Module slot for preprogrammed games and utilities. Monitor socket. RS232 interface. Joystick socket. Cassette I/O socket. hehe, it was a Sinclair ZX 81 with a whopping 1K of RAM.
The text on-screen used the RAM, so with a screen full of text, at 40x25 characters, i had no memory left over for programs. ![]() After a while I got hold of a 8K expansion pack, and could really start making complex programs, lol. Pretty much like LSL ![]() _____________________

C64, yo, though I used the Apple IIe and the IIgs (which I later owned) a lot around the same time. Followed by Amigas, PCs, Macs, an SGI, etc.

First computer was bought by my dad in 1983.
A Tandy TRS-80 Model 3. I am giggling thinking of the fact that you had to put a huge floppy in drive A (not B, no, no, no) to load the OS, hehehe. We had that thing FOREVER and none of us could really figure out how to use it. I was only 11 at the time and attached is a pic for old times sake. |

My parents threw out the old Apple IIc a couple of years ago, along with a Mac Classic II and the rest of my computer heritage. I can still barely speak of it, I'm so upset.

"I was in love once -- a Sinclair ZX-81. People said, 'No, Holly, she's not for you.' She was cheap, she was stupid and she wouldn't load -- well, not for me, anyway."
