Been reading some reviews of DirectX 10 capable video cards and I'm quite impressed. The majority were saying "forget the Xbox 360 when you see whats coming later this year".
And NOW I found a video of Crytek's next Gen game, Crysis, which will be the first DirectX 10 enabled game. I can't stop watching this video!! It's not pre-rendered either as I thought, this is IN-GAME!!
If this is what to expect, then I wish I had waited before building this system!!!

If it's a DX9 card, chances are it will. But unless you've been on a shopping trip to the future it's not gonna look like that. GeForce FX 5900.. But.. *sigh* _____________________

xbox360 vs pc, why even bother, ALOT of ppl have had the ati radeon 9800(or equivlent) for a cupple years now, i dont see xbox 360 doing 1280x1024+ i think the max high def tv (if you have 10 grand) is 1280x768, and the pixels are still 4 times larger, besides have you actually played one, gun for example, runs just as smooth and has more oh haa goodies on the pc using a 32bit amd @1ghz slower and a nvidia FX series card.
Price? the new xbox basic crap system, just at a glance is 450us$ jeez for that much you could make a media center pc, that would perform almost as well and has a tivo like functionality in it (+ music server) also the crappyness of the biuld of the xbox360 its amazing , the cd tray shakes like a scared rabbit, the fan sounds like a motorboat, and the simple fact that its not backwards compatible... hey MS your not nintendo with 3 decades of followers behind you, your the company that most ppl have bashed for 2+ decades come back to this when the ps3 comes out, they are using Geforce 7's as the basic dev-kits untill nvidia finishes refining their new generation of video cards.. lets also not forget their 128bit core cpu (which is the reason i got a ps2, not becuase the gfx were good but it was just simply better at number games) course this time round sony seems to have both angles covered |
