I dunno why I get asked this by the neocon talk radio fox news zombies everytime I question what the United States does.

I don't hate either continent

Ironically, as often as not those who decry the notion, as voiced by President Bush, are all too happy to engage in it themselves, towards those who don't agree with their opinions.

Frankly, my opinion regarding either side's extremists is "a plague a both your houses!". :p

(Maybe VP Chenney was following Shakesphere's advice, with that hunting accident, about killing all the lawyers. :D )

Yeah, darn that Vespucci guy. He makes a few maps and gets two whole continents named after him. I hate him.

America is cool. Religious fundamentalism and patriotism aren't.

People really ask you "why do you hate america?"

If people ask you that, then they are just stupid...

Because all they need to do is read a few posts by you in the Off-Topic forum and they would have their answer.

American's what?

i liked "Ventura Highway". They almost sound like CSN sometimes.

The polarization is one of the nation's major flaws. If someone finds out i'm not Christian, they automatically ask why i don't believe in God (or ask if i'm a Satanist). When they find out i'm not a Republican, they assume i'm a Democrat.
There's no grey. Just black and white.

It merely bolsters my opinion that most people aren't worth talking to.Or sharing air with.

That's a real intelligent remark.

Why is everyone so eager to hate some place, something or someone.
Hating things isn't worth my time or energy. I'd rather be sipping on a drink, kickin' back with my feet up, than incite anger among peers

It's alright, you people can talk all the smack you want but I am proud to live here, and no not in the religious fundamentalism or patriotism way, but in a way that most offends you as a person. I love how countries say they hate us as we are feeding their children, healing their sick, killing their enemies, supplying then with weapons...

Personally, just to spice things up a bit all we are doing in the middle-east is digging a foot-hole. Think about it, been digging in the middle-east since 1st Bush and here we are getting in deeper. Right now we are playing police, but when we need oil we are in a position to just take it.

Its pompous of America to try to corner the stupid and uncivilised market.
Stupidity and Barbarism are generic human traits.

did he really just say that?

of course!

I think he is implying that if we do the imperial thing and take poor, weakened peoples resources it will make things better for US citizens

really, I don't think I could be a more hopelessly retarded and selfishly bloated pig charicature of the ugly american if I tried

well done Maxwolf, you have made a point about disgusting americans that an example could not do justice too; no one would believe someone could have such an obnoxiously selfish evil streak as to steal from the poor and give to the rich

what a piece of work

We've actually been digging a hole in the Middle-east since way before Bush Sr. Who do you think helped keep in power Saddam Hussien (sp) through the Iran-Iraq war? We usually create our own problems.

Of course we suppored Saddam in the Iran-Iraq war because of the hostility of the that Iran had towards the United States, especially after the Hostage Crisis. Of course Ayatollah Khomeini (or for Wiki) rose to power with the support of the people in order to overthrow the dictatorship of the Shah of Iran (or for Wiki) . The Shah, of course, was supported by the United States.
