I think it is a shame that guy did what he did, and I think that this incident, mixed with Mel Gibson's anti-Jewish remarks, and a number of other stories I've been seeing pop up on the web today, is going to be starting a rather large anti-Jewish movement.

There are people that are angry at Israel's actions, but it certainly doesn't make it right for someone to take that out on innocent people. It is a tragedy.

Unfortunately, this sort of thing is probably going to happen more. It will get worse before it gets better, IF it gets better anytime soon. From religious conservatives promoting anything that could bring the "second coming of Christ" to left wingers being politically correct and being afraid of saying anything bad about the government of Israel, this situation is bound to get much worse--especially if the U.S. continues to supply Israel with weapons.

It just doesn't make any sense to attack innocent people in this country because of something that is happening in another country. It defies logic. It's racism and a hate of belief systems other than one's own, plain and simple--it's hate and fear.

A lot of you new folks are bringing up the context in which I presented this issue. And that's fair. What you lack here-and this is not some sarastic swipe at anyone-is historical perspective.

Besides pointing out this tragedy, I'm pointing out (once again) the rampant hypocrisy and anti-semitism among the SLeft who:

1. Never fail to side with terrorists over Israel. Taking their tack from the MSM they are quick to justify acts of barbarism from the animals in Hezbollah or any one of the armed Palestinian groups while denouncing any measure of self defense the Israelis may use.

2. Constantly praise Nazis while trashing President Bush.


Go back through the archives and such. Read up. And then you'll better understand what this is about.

Stop trolling, Kiamat--it's really not cool. I don't think you could be any more partisan or polarized than the statements you just made. I get so sick of this whole "you're with us or you're against us" attitude--there really is such a thing as gray area.

Both sides are in the wrong, but Israel's way of handling it, with depleted uranium and attacking civilians and leveling cities--it is completely unacceptable. The entire situation over there is unacceptable. Stop trying to pigeonhole everyone into black and white denominations.

So, all those rockets into Israel aren't what you'd calling "attacking civilians"? Or is it just ok if only Isreali citizens are dying? And sure, Hezbollah hasn't levelled any cities, but it sure isn't from lack of trying.

I don't recall Hezbollah dropping leaflets warning people to get out. Exactly how many rockets did Israel fire into Lebanese cities before a group of terrorists snuck across their border, killed three of their soldiers, and kidnapped two more?

Out of what I remember, the whole thing started because of the kidnapping of some soldiers, then after Israel started going on the offensive, Hezbollah started to bomb, and then Israel changed their reasoning for going on the offensive to the extreme that they have is because of Hezbollah bombing. I don't think anyone is in the right in the situation there, and using depleted uranium against civilians really makes the situation awful.

I think Israel has a right to defend itself, but not when they defend themselves through purposely attacking civilians and bombing UN buildings with UN members still in it. If bombing the UN really was an honest mistake, they're sure not acting very sorry about it.
