I had a dream last night in which I was living in a small town, and the town had a semi-feral little monkey. He was a biter, and he’d scream a lot, he was very frustrated often and would throw tantrums. So we had a town meeting, and what was agreed was that a woman who looked like Angela Lansbury would ‘adopt’ the monkey. We gave her $300. She dressed the monkey up in a little dress, and would take it shopping with her, while wearing a matching dress herself. Then after that, she’d put him in tiny coveralls and take him out while she gardened. This calmed the monkey greatly, and he was a dapper and pleasant little fellow from then on.

I welcome any advice on what the hell that is supposed to mean.

It's Grandma-syndrome.

The woman is your grandma, and you are the monkey.

No No Taco...

You obviously identify with Curious George and wish to have an elderly handler, hence the Angela Lansbury figure in your dream with you. :D

If it will make you feel any better Taco you can come and hang out in my garden anytime and I even have coveralls you can wear. But I have to warn you that, sadly, I don't look like Angela Landsbury.

Oh, and it would cost more than $300 for me to take you shopping. :p

Was the monkey staunchly anti-evolution and anti-abortion? Did Angela Lansbury select the monkey through natural means?

You're a monkey with an Oedipal complex. But aren't we all?

Oddly. I had a dream where I installed new software (maybe pirated it) and it jammed my computer with spyware and I couldn't do anything to counter it besides reformat. Then I woke up, wondering what the fuck I was doing dreaming about my computer.

The town = Your home or ideal living area
The Monkey = you
The Old Lady = A Sugar Momma!

Once you find a nice lil' old lady who wants a boy-toy, you'll be all set for life! How's that?:D

This dream also suggests you better keep your damned monkey on a leash. Or in a cute little dress, whatever floats your boat, man. ;)

Like all abnormal dreams it means: You didn't get on with your father as a child..

When you start having normal dreams, worry.

yeah, nobody has normal dreams. who dreams about folding laundry, or dropping a letter off at the post office?

I think the old lady is you, and the monkey is your avatar. you want to take care of your avatar monkey, and tame him, and take him shopping for kewl outfits. that's all it means.

Could you have mistaken Angela Landsbury for Zelda Rubinstein?

This dream is a serious warning! If you consort with older women, you will end up in poorly-made Stella McCartney knock-offs.

I wouldn't worry. This was not your dream. This was an implanted memory. I know someone who can help for a small fee.

*giggles*

Your monkey represents a problem. May not be necessarily your own problem, but a problem shared by a group or a community or family as represented by the small town. This problem has caused much distress to the point that the community feels that something must be done. The woman who looks like Angela Lansbury represents the solution, who then calms the monkey. She may also represent the kind of solution needed: someone that can give attention (or motherly affection) and care as represented by the way she dressed the monkey and bringing it with her where ever she goes. The woman may also represent an insider solution since she is within the community and not from the outside.

*more giggling*

mini trivia: the word 'lol' can be considered an offensive term in the Philippines. Besides the usual meaning, some players use that as a short-cut for the word "ulol" which means "you're stupid and crazy."

I am reminded of a story about orphaned bull elephants. They were a big hazard in certain game preserves, to other elephants as well as any other creature or human that happened their way. The game keepers put a bunch of much more mature elephants in their range and they civilized the bulls quite a bit.
