Does anyone who hasn't seen spoilers want to speculate on any of the first episodes?

I didn't have you pegged for a cable watcher. Sometimes I catch SG-1 in reruns on broadcast tv. Is it pretty much the same as it ever was?

It's good stuff. We've been watching for years since our dating days. We'd catch it just before we'd go out dancing on Friday nights. ![]() ~Ulrika~ _____________________

Actually SG-1 just underwent a large transformation.

I vehemently refuse to purchase cable for one reason: I'd watch it. It would be a non-stop visual orgy of history channel, discovery medical surgeries, and animal planet. I probably woudn't even go to work. _____________________

She's cute ![]() And yes I will be glued to the tube watching all three . I didn't watch enough tv last here, need to start at the beginning of the seasons this year and make sure to keep up._____________________

Here's my speculation for each of the 3 shows:
SG-1 - The show will continue to be an endlessly growing haven for sci fi actors whose regular shows get cancelled, and will eventually expand to include all 4 Pigs in Space, Robbie the Robot, and My Favorite Martian before exploding to swallow the whole world in a glowing blue puddle. As for the immediate future, Ben Browder will coninue to spew out his signatire pop culture references and insane humor while kicking alien ass. Danile Jackson and Tealc will continue to make fun of Mitchell (Browder) for being new. People will continue to overestimate Carter's hotness. Beyond that, I have no idea, but I can't wait to find out. Oh, and I almost forgot. Lexa Doig will continue to make me pine for the days when she used to dress in skin tight pleather. Damn she looked good on Andromeda. Terrible show, of course, but she was smokin'. Somhow seeing her in a labcoat every week just isn't the same. Atlantis - They'll get out of the hive ship. Ford will either die or go into rehab. No bets. BSG - Adama and Ensign Roe - I mean Admiral Whatserface - will be ordered to stop bickering by the president, and after some bitch slapping, they'll listen. The 2 prisoners will of course be released. The Pegasus will be lost in an assault on that giant Cylon ship, and the Galactica will once again be on its own. Baltar will have some fun with his new playmate, and the chick that lives in his head will get extremely jealous - of herself, since the new girl is also her - and Baltar's crazy long-haired freaky brain will become even more splintered, psychotic, and wondefully entertaining than it already is. That's it for me. Nine minutes 'til showtime. Let's see how I do. _____________________

bah Carter is hot. She's only average looking but damn, what a mind, and she can shoot, and she even has a sense of humor!
(truthfully I could care less about the shooting bit, but it's obligatory for a straight male of the human species to notice these things )._____________________

Goa'uld... any psytrance connection? Torley? Haha... for a moment I didn't get that, and then I looked closer, and I DID. I used to watch every single episode of SG-1. Haven't kept up to date past Season 7 tho. I also used to have Sci-Fi Channel, but then my satellite dish broke down. _____________________

I was imagining on BSG that the fight between the ships would be interrupted by the arrival of the giant Cylon ship, which would then lead to the destruction of the Pegasus. Of all the shows, that is the one I'm most curious about. ~Ulrika~ _____________________

I watch a lot of PBS, SciFi Friday, and the Independent Film Channel. Specific shows I record are NOW, Frontline, and the Daily Show. Aside from that I don't watch any other TV. Too busy on the forums. ![]() ~Ulrika~ Helpful Tip: You can watch all the Frontlines online at your leisure. I regularly watch: I don't schedule my life around TV. I think my favorite show at the moment is Globe Trekker. I have no idea what its regular schedule is but it seems to be around the time of day that I want to watch TV. Outside of their regular programming, there seems to be a lack of really compelling miniseries programming on PBS lately. The only SPECIAL miniseries specials I've seen on PBS in over a year were Strange Days on Planet Earth, The Journey of Man, and Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson. I also watched most of the Shinsengumi episodes that aired in 2004 on the local multi-asian channel because I find that period of Japanese history really interesting, especially the life of Sakamoto Ryoma. I did not, however, watch much of Yoshitsune this last year (primarily because the lead actor SUCKS). _____________________

Shanks also has a daughter with a tahitian actress (Vaitiare) who guest starred in SG-1 a few years ago Leilany ![]() _____________________

I'll have to check out Globe Trekker! Don't expect genius or anything, it's just a travel show. They have rotating hosts. The British one is the coolest. _____________________

Whats scary is I just finished watching Sci-Fi. I cant get into Stargate:Atlantis too much. And I'm totally lost with Stargate SG1. Whats up with the Farscape characters?? Are they supposed to be the same ones from the series? ANd what happened to the the G'ould? How & who killed them off???
My TV Heroin has to be Cartoon Network! Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is the best!! And Billy & Mandy!!! Do I even have to go into the Anime??? *drooling* Sad, I watch cartoons all day & I dont smoke pot!! Heh! _____________________

All finished! SG1 and Atlantis were of standard quality -- modest stories and special effects with the requisite humorous dialogue. It's perfect for spending time with family while petting cats which occasionally stop by for attention.
Battlestar Gallactica, however, has the presence of a big-budget movie rather than a television show. They managed to have a season premiere that was actually as suspenseful as the finale. The only drawback is I have to sit through the rewinding and rewatching (via TiVo) of interesting special effects (sometimes three times over). ![]() ~Ulrika~ _____________________

BSG rocked. That show just never ceases to impress the hell out of me. I love that they're not afraid to be dark and heavy. Best sci-fi show ever, on any network.
