Ah, but the difference is that we're not trying to build weapons of mass destruction to sponsor terrorism against innocents around the world. Furthermore, we're a democracy... Iraq was a brutal dictatorship. We've secured liberty for the Iraqi people - and now we're helping them to overcome those who want to see the country swept back into autocracy. Right, we already own the weapons of mass destruction. We are killing innocent people. We are the ones holding people in jail without a trial. We have people that think that our God backs us, because we are the good guys. We are the ones that cause terrorism. Study out what America has actually done in the Middle East. You will see there are reasons people are pissed off at us beyond religion and sex. Most of it involves relatives dead, because of American actions. Also ask yourself about why Shi'ite insurgents existed. Remember that they were some of the innocents being killed by Saddam, yet for a while they were the only ones trying to kill us. Why would the innocents being killed turn on us if we are the good guys. Many of my close friends are injured for the rest of their lives. A small handful are dead. I just relax and realize that it was in the name of America having a foot hold in the middle east. We have our foot hold in Germany, Italy, Korea, Phillipines, Columbia, Panama, Egypt, Japan, etc. We just needed an excuse to be there too. We will never be out completely. Only once or twice have we ever truly left completely. |

I'm not. I'm a die hard freedom lover. Freedom isn't free. It costs a lot in terms of personal sacrifice and the willingness to endure setbacks to attain a greater goal. The problem is most people lack this intestinal fortitude these days. The fact that you think that my middle-of-the-road set of morals and values is trolling is a sad statement on the way people of the world have atrophied in regards to having a backbone. Oh, I do agree with you. The casualties are very sad. But if its helping to prevent terroristic attacks on our own soil against innocent civilans wouldn't you agree that those brave soldiers at least died for a noble cause? Umm..what terrorist attacks is it preventing? Oh..you mean all those outside terrorist attacks that were happening before we went to Iraq? You mean..um..9/11 that Iraq had nothing to do with and who's planner is still at large in another country? Or are you talking about the terrorist attacks preformed by U.S. citizens? Or are you talking about the terrorist attacks that are happening all around the world at an alarmingly increased rate? Yes..pissing off the entire middle east and most of the rest of the world will certainly make us safer...specially since our government lied and fabricated reasons to go to Iraq and HOmeland Security has been proven to be very ineffective. Also, I thought Food, Shelter and women with big boobs were the 3 fundamentals of life? _____________________

Stop worrying so much about everything. Go out, have fun. Find a girlfriend/boyfriend. Get some. Stop carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Look at the big picture: We're in Iraq to fight terrorism (therefore protecting our homeland) and bring it a free market it so we can get [cheap] oil. I think there is definitely a possibility that God is speaking to George W. Bush. What they don't tell you is that George W. is wearing a wire. With Satan (Karl Rove) as his Chief of Staff, listening in is the only way that the he can stay one step ahead in his evil machinations.
