1.9.0(17) Problems

I upgraded to 1.9.0(17) after it came out last night and since the upgrade I went from a very stable SL life to one that crashes a few times an hour. After the 8th crash last night I am unable to teleport from a map location I can only teleport if someone sends a teleport to me trying to use the map just makes a boink boink boink sound when I try to use teleport. I would say dont install the upgrade if you can help it, they said everyone will have to download it in a few days and I hope they change there minds and find out whats going on first. The claim that 1.9.0(17) fixes server to client side crashes but it seems to be the reverse, maybe it fixed one problem but it seems it made a bigger one.

I am still invisiable for 5 minutes after I log in

Friends are still getting the message "You have been logged out of SL because your simulator is going down " message and are being booted, even thought the sim is not going down.

Others are loosing items in inventory

All my IMs sent to me while offline are not saved, I am also invisible when I first come in the game, I get kicked off with "sim going down" warnings, and that's about all I have noticed.

i dont know where to post my post. ever since this last update i am lagged out to the max every day so bad its miserable and all was fine before the darn update. i am talking about the update before yesterday the one we just had prior to yesterday. AND now since yesterdays update all day today in my sim is like walking treading through water neck deep in it. i have had to either stay off of sl today or go to some other sim to get away from it. my sim is bowfin. a few people came to visit me said they were feeling the lag since this update of yesterday and the one right before it too.

it was an all over sl lag on the update before yesterdays but since yesterdays it seems to be my particular sim and the sim across the street from me and the sims just up the road from me. i went to the sims where Elbow Room and the Shelter are and the lag wasnt the same as my entire area of sims seems to be. my statistics are showing as if good and i have tinkered all around in my preferences trying different settings but nothing is fixing this. i have near 500 prims left available on my 8704 square of which i wont use right now cuz the lag is miserable already. i am trying to have a yard sale but cannot put out my stuff cuz for one thing the lag is so horrid it wears me out just trying to work in it and another is i am not wanting to add to the already horrid lag.

every single time we get an update i lag out for a week or two and then it subsides and all is so nice so smooth and pleasant but only for a little while cuz here comes another update to put me back into extreme lag zone for another week or two. i have grown to detest updates period because it never fails with every update i lag out for a week or two and unfortunately SL has updates too close together where i only get a little time that the lag has gone away and i get to enjoy myself in between all of these darn detestable updates.

i was told to come here and read to see if its anything i can do in preferences but i have read and i have tried many different settings and all remains the same and i can only now figure it will be another week or two as usual before it smooths out but then SL is sure to have another update to throw me back into lag zone. its just miserable totally miserable.

yea this update is loaded with problems, 7 out of 10 times I crash when trying to teleport any place, this is just nuts and they want to make this a forced download what a mistake this is. They need to find and fix the problem as soon as they can and release that.

I'm also getting logged out with the "detected garbled data" message.... unfortunatly the problem is compounded for me because when SL garbles it's data it's locking my router and knocking me off the air from the Radio Station I work for.

I'm also noticing some of my inventory is altered, Objects are aparently missing textures. (At first I thought it just wasnt downloading the texture, but editing the object shows the texture and /or colour just plain arent there anymore.) Some of the people I work with in SL are also reporting missing objects and scripts. (I cant stay in long enough to check if anything is missing.)

To top it off, this new "you are already logged in" thing is BS. That should never have been put in, at least not until LL was absolutely certain it wouldnt crash every couple of minuites.

Everytime I log in.. after A few seconds my whole comp freezes.. and I have to reboot.. NEVER FAILS.. I even did the "Optional" download.. SAME THING.. RIDICULOUS.. I know I dont have the best graphics card but I never had this problem before.. When will it be fixed?

Every time i try to log in to SL it goes just so far and disappears from the screen. Try to log in again and it says I am already trying to log in or trying to log out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling...didn't help.

It takes over 15 minutes to get a decent log in.

This is an upgrade? Hope they get it fixed soon.

That means your Avie is stil in world are you had a crash....i never seen this in any other times other then after crashes. It needs to log out before it can be logged back in.

Some of these are mentioned in the latest Known Issues as things which are important to us to fix!

I've had that too.

If you have a good lock on reproducing a problem and notice others having it too, it's always a good idea to REPORT BUG from the HELP menu and let others know too.

I wish there was a way to roll back from version 17 since 17 has broken many things.

Ninja, hopefully a roll forward will help.

Some of these issues, like the invisible avatar one (which has dogged me too, as I mentioned earlier), are definitely being worked on to be fixed as soon as possible.

I've installed 17 and hey! Now after this update and after problems with asset system everything seems to be working ok (but agp accel stil doesn't). It downloads everything as fast as it can.

Hiya all!

Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem.

In a couple of groups I'm in, sometimes people have been given the Officer tag when they're in as a member-relogging helps sometimes, but sometimes they have to be removed and reinstated to get around it!


Any ideas guys?
