Hi,

Anyone have any ideas about why SL is crashing on a laptop that has the following specifications:

Nvidia GeForce 7800 GE. It's a laptop 256mb card (non-integrated)

I also run with 1.5 gig of memory.

We are not sure why SL keeps crashing on this laptop.

Thanks !

Have you tried any aftermarket drivers? I use:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
They fool Nvidia drivers in notebooks into thinking they are full blown tower PC cards. Thus allowing features that notebook cards dont usually offer. Another Nvidia tweak device I found was this program called Rivatuner, also available at the same site (its all free). This helped me with an issue I had where textures were not loading properly.

Yeah, the official GO drivers from nvidia are almost a year old. I've had to download and use the drivers from that LaptopVideo2Go site too. I've only tested for one day, but it appears to have fixed my SL crashing and bluescreen problems. *Jinxes it* O_o

Here's a good link to some instructions on how to use LaptopVideo 2Go:
