Im sorry if that sounds shallow and insensitive, but if you're sharing "sensitive" information and are worried about this person obtaining information you dont want him to have... and you KNOW he's getting it, whether or not you know how, just stop making it available.
Use a second program for sensitive information; open an AIM account, explain to your close friends what the situation is, and have them use the program also. If by some chance he STILL recieves your conversations you can no longer assume that its a breach in SL. Start a new character and dont make it known to this person. If you have mutual friends who will make the information available to him... they're not good friends, so you should ditch them too.
As far as how many computers you use, do you have proof that he's recieved logs of your conversations on each system you have been on? I mean has he sent you every IM you've sent from each computer or are you making assumptions based on what he's told you??
I've been victim of a keylogger program before, its serious shit especially when you're paying bills online, or working for someone else with other people's information, etc. (I had someone in another COUNTRY send me a Trojan via a method I still dont know. This person not only had my passwords for all of my email accounts (as well as any other program I was using), but he had my Social Security number, my credit card numbers, my checking account information, my husband's information, my children's information, etc. Im VERY fortunate that this guy was only being nosey rather than malicious with the information he had, you may not be so lucky if you're not careful.

From: Boreas Catron OK guys, if it was just a keylogger or somesuch it wouldnt be on all the computers for one, It would if they were all on the same network. Stuff spreads easy from one machine to another on an internal network. Best to just scan and don't assume "oh, that can't possibly happen." From: someone and another thign it wouldnt ONLY affect things said in SL. Not necessarily -- you're only seeing the SL stuff because that's all you've been shown.

I was just informed that also my Im's were intercepted by somebody who is working as an IT specialist. According to my information it is very simple to intercept messages. I'still try to figure out who the person is. I already now he is from belgium and works in Brussels and does the network securtity for a company there.
And according to my information it is for the people in that line of work very easy to intercept messages if they know your avatar's name.
I still try to figure it all out, so I will try out some of the links who are giving in this thread and see if I can come up with something.
Regards,
Cor

I'm still finding this tough to believe... Most likely : they're saying that have info that they don't have - they're just messing with you Most likely (tie) : somebody is simply forwarding the log to them (alt, pseudo-friend) Maybe : you have evil software on your PC / network Maybe : they have open chat logs from a 10-line script that forwards chat to them Unlikely : SL sends IMs to anybody but the intended receiver and somebody has found a way to intercept them I'd be interested in hearing more but if there is actually an exploit, don't post it here - email mailto ecurity@lindenlab.com .

All I see is a bunch of technically infeasible allegations and reasonless naysaying of all the possible avenues that have been speculated. So let's see, someone who you don't trust has told you that SL is insecure to the point where he can dig into your conversations from another region, and you just "know" you don't have keyloggers and you just "know" you aren't talking with his alts. Smells like bullshit to me and I'm about the last person I know to say that SL is more secure than you are alleging. You've given essentially no data, but are convinced that some unprecedented security flaw in SL is leaking your secrets? Sorry, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. All you've got here is hearsay. From: Boreas Catron Yeh, he be flushed. The fact still remains that SL privacy is apparently non-existant if he could get all that. The whole reasoning behind this is that I specifically asked him and he told me he was looking at SL.
