It's bound to take a while to find and fix all the bugs. I've been able to log in three different times (before crashing). There seems to be a problem when accessing inventory; I've been trying to set permissions on some new textures and each time I do this the program crashes. I think I'll watch a movie and let the Lindens do their thing.

I didn't see that "big six" message the last few failed attempts... is this there way of giving us something to do while we wait for whole thing to settle?

Second Life Offline The Second Life grid and portions of the Second Life web site are currently restricted to Lindens only. We expect to return service to all residents shortly.
Kind of expected this with a major update.

More than 'mere entertainment'

Many members are at SL for more than mere entertainment.. (is entertainment really that important??? Friskles Echegaray) Many pay money for the game (i actually pay money for the game.. mathew Horton) ......and to alot of us, SL also includes a business venture.. so i understand the frustration!! i am just glad to hear i am not alone in trying to sign on and that it is not the fault of my computer..or verizon agaaaaaaaain!!!!!!!!! wheww.. lol

take a breath, peruse the forums, doodle some designs, read the 1.7 user agreements/update changes.

Lol, there's no need to reinstall it. It's just gonna take awhile before everyone can get back in. Everybody is trying to rush back in all at once, and it doesn't work like that. It's like thousands of people all trying to get through the same door all at once. If everyone would just settle down for abit it would be fine, and this comes back to my question from earlier. I know people have put money into this game and all, but I don't see why people freak out over it so much. I've put some money into it too, but to me it's nothing really, and I ain't rich or nothing either. That's just me though. I'm not saying I don't like SL, but if I had to give it up it probably wouldn't bother me that much at all.
