I was wondering if anyone else is using Windows Pro X64 and able to play using this format, and wonderd why such a advanced game as this will not support it? Windows Pro x64 is not new anymore! Many of your newer and faster computers that run off Athon are using this format now... Do you plan to allow this format anytime soon?

I currently have to play off a older computer and sooo hating it! I love SL but honestly this would drive me away having to use a 2nd hand computer when I have a awsomeone sitting there collecting dust!

If anyone is able please inform me how your able to log in or any suggestions ! Thank you so kindly!

I'm setting up Windows Vista Beta 2 x64 this weekend and will be looking at making sure that the client will build and run smoothly there. Such a build should run fine under Windows XP Pro x64 as well. There's no ETA on when (or even if) we'll be shipping an x64 client build, but assuming there is sufficent demand I don't see why we wouldn't in the future. I, for one, welcome our 64-bit overlords.

You might want to repost your question in another forum where other residents can respond. They may have helpful advice as well.

Cheers,
Lawrence

I'm surprised SL doesn't run on XP 64 for you however most people run it on normal XP or even 2000 or windows 98 ( XP 64 is only around now getting to the stage where drivers support is anywhere near good enoguh for people to consider it really and the performance benefits aren't great ).

Heck a lot of people will still be running old XP processors or similar generation so I would guess probably less than 1% will be using XP 64.

Doesnt' help you problem though - sorry.

Can you describe your problem in more detail? Are you suffering from crashes upon login? I am running x64 windows and I was unable to run SL until I realized that it was quicktime that was the problem. I just installed quicktime version 5.0 and it worked perfectly. Actually you can read the thread I made here:
