Upgraded from a GeForce 5200 which has ran with out a hitch to a GeForce 7600 I can not get past precaching and it crashes. No error messages or anything. Poof and I am back to my windows desk top and it asking do I want to send a report (as if that does anything) I have updated all my driver and my bios. I even deleted the old drivers using driver clean and nasty old file remover and reinstalled them. Tried everthing from the latest beta drivers to the some really old ones too. Also tried clearing the cache, Uninstalling SL and manually deleting anyting to do with it Same thing the precaching bar goes across and poof.
System I am using is as follows:
Athlon 2.2 ghz 1.2 gigs of ram ASUS A7N8X2.0C mother board GE Force 7600 GS 512 MB
Everthing else works fine. I watch videos, play games, surf the net. The one app it dosn't like it is Second Life
I have been working on this for two days now and my paitence is shot. Any ideas?

Same Problem here
11-25-2007 16:58
I have the exact same problem. I have bought 2 gigs of New top of the line RAM, new hard drive (SATA), new CPU Fan, (all voltages, temps perfect, (lil cooler than perfect), $ different Video Cards (all recommended by S/L site).
Loaded Win Xp Pro and Video Drivers only and S/L. Same problem. Program disappears and back to desttop. While on S/L the few seconds or up to maybe 2 mins I'm on, the response is fantastic. No Packet Loss, My connection speed is the 5 meg confirmed fron speedtest.net.
I'm running all Windows Updates.
Any suggestions before I set the really Great System on fire?
Oh, btw, ALL else works when loaded, I can Edit Video Great, Render it....just at a lost now.I tried ALL settings on the Preferences Tab.
HELP!!
