I can't login for no apparent reason all of a sudden. I'm getting an error message which says "login failed. Second life cannot be accessed from this computer". I haven't been able to find this error message on support and support chat suggested I reset my password, which I did but that has not helped either.
Anyone any ideas?
I've just submitted a support ticket. Anyone know how long I can expect to wait before hearing back?

That normally appears if you've been banned from the service, check your email for a note from LL.

Login Failed

Well, since my login info works on the website & this forum, the proble is definitely localised to the client auth mechanism.
I wonder if a Linden will stick its head out of the hole to actually give an idea of why, and more importantly, how long. This is getting to be rather much. I haven't been around for long and I have already had more hassles than in two years of playing World of Warcraft.

Um, does it seem 10:00 PM PDT to you? If so, don't shop at Wal-Mart for watches anymore.

" This still says nothing about a general authentication outage.

I don't think their telling, because I don't think this was intentional... I think SL hiccupped. And to be frank, I'm gettin' sick and tired of it. I've only been playin' a bit over a month... and was a payin' user. I was quick to stop that... I wouldn't dare pay to play this atm, and frankly feel bad for those who've spent thousands in the game on their businesses. NO WAY would I put up w/ this shit, if I had of.

It's odd. For me, I can sign on to my friend's account, but not my own. And they both signed off last on the same land.
What's up with that?
I'm just getting the straight-up "Can't log in" message myself.

I'm the same. Was in okay, then got booted. Now, just "Login Failed".
I was running the beta software, but I've uninstalled that.
Very odd.
