Library gone, no copy/paste

ok, I logged on today and had a look at my inventory and when trying to move things around I found there was a problem. I could not actually copy/paste any objects or folders like I was able to do before and anything I did put on showed up in my lost or found. There I could move stuff around and copy, but only there. I also noticed that my library was missing and when I went to the map, all my landmarks had been cleared. I tried relogging, reinstalling, yet it doesnt change anything. Is anyone else having this problem?

Had something similar to this, what i did was to search for something in inventory, forcing a refresh of everything ,waited to everything was done [inventory fetched 7387 items...] , then changed av, and tp'd somewhere, suddenly i could see my inventory and items again.

Happend after i got moved to another inventory server.

I cant seem to get it to do that. When I type in the search window it immediately brings up folders with those words in it and doesnt search for everything.

I know Ive had it do searches where it would refresh, but I cant get it to now.

I am having the same problem! Everything I put on shows in my lost and found folder, I can't move anything in it. HELP!

My library has disappeared too. I was just contemplating whether to speak to a Live Helper but if you have the same problem I guess we have to wait for LL to fit it.

whoa, i just noticed to, i have no library , but then again i never use it ,, could this be cause of the transfer from old inventory server to new Lee?

From what I'm told so far it's related. It's a busy day around here, and I haven't run down the proper folks just yet...

Ok good, I was afraid I was the only one with this problem.

At least its getting looked into. I'll keep checking back for updates.

Please let me know when this is fixed. I really want the library back if at all possible.

Seems i have the same problems as mentioned above. Items are still there, but wearing them moves them to lost and found. Technically i d say i have no user-rights on the directories. cannot create new folders, delete or anything, except the lost and found folder.

Title says it all. Many tricks tried to get it back but obviously the problem is much bigger than little old me :-}

I just did a search on silver and gloves and my library came back to me Thought you might want to try it ...WOOHOO~~~~~

I've been having the same problem for four or five days now. I have sent support email in about it as well. The basic symptoms:

A second "Lost and Found" folder appeared in my "My Inventory" folder.

The "Library" folder disappeared for a few days at the same time the new "Lost and Found" folder appeared, but it's back now.

Anything I create, use, wear, etc, shows up in the second "Lost and Found" folder instead of where you'd expect.

I cannot edit or modify anything in any of the "standard" folders - right clicking on a folder or item not in the second "Lost and Found" just gives me a pop-up menu with one ghosted item in it.

Items and folders in the second "Lost and Found" act like they think they are where they should be - i.e. new cards show up in a "Cards" folder under "Lost and Found", objects go to an "Objects" folder, etc. Right-clicking under "Lost and Found" gives me a normal-looking context menu, but trying to edit, use, modify anything existing causes a second copy to appear in the folder.

A specific example: I can drag an "appearance" folder onto my av, but as soon as I do that, a copy of it appears under the second "Lost and Found" folder. Dragging any wearable item onto my av causes a copy to appear under "Lost and Found".

In general scripts and gestures and the like don't behave correctly because they are expecting the objects/sounds/etc they reference to be in the "normal" folder structure and can't always find them under the second "Lost and Found" folder.

It's really cramping my ability to create/script since inventory management is totally fubar, and a little annoying since it happened the evening that I got my signup cc bill after the first seven days...

I've done all the usual - wiped cache, logged in from another machine, "Searched" my inventory, I even have both a mac and a windows machine so I've logged in with both mac and windows clients, reinstalled on both machines, etc. No love.

I am having the same problem wtih my inventory(The lost and Found Folder of Doom) I can access all my objects, but not delete them or anything. I've tried searching and that has not fixed the problem, so does it just..work itself out?

I can access my library folder. My problem is with the "lost and found" folder. I had items returned to me from some land I sold, and as soon as I clicked on the "lost and found" they evidently disapeared. I can't even open the lost and found folder when there are items in it. They just go "poof!" and leave me with an empty folder.

Ditto, Lost and Found folder doesnt work, i get something back , look in folder poof gone.

If you're having this problem, be sure to notify a Liaison inworld so they can forward your account name to the folks looking into (and fixing) this sort of thing.

Yep, I was recommended to file a support and bug report about it which is what I did. Next time I'm online I'll hunt me down a Linden and let them know specifically to please let The Right People know.

My inventory is quite messed up. A lost And Found folder appeared, empty and with no icon on the folder. A day or two later, a second Lost And Found folder showed up, with a "?" icon. Now, all items placed or created in my inventory go into the original Lost And Found. All items in the regular folders can't be moved, and the popup menus say "no options". If I drop a folder from the original folders with some clothes, for example, onto my character, the character changes outfits, but it creates a new copy of the folder and clothes in Lost And Found, and this contains the items that are worn. There seem to be other problems as well.

I am fine again. Inventory has been fixed all stuff back again. Many thanks!
