That sums it up.
To date I've updated my motherboard driver, my graphics card, my lan card, my networking card, used windows update, run maintence software, re-installed quicktime, secondlife and my drivers after using driver cleaning utilities, used MSconfig to elimate all but the most essencial processes... I've played with bandwidth, I'd played with quicktime's settings...
What I want to convey is this, I'm not a hopeless tech braindead moron, I don't speak in leet... why the HELL can't anyone at linden labs explain to me why the patch before last broke steaming video's audio ever since the patch before last? OBVIOUSLY thats all I have in common with a handful of friends who also had the problem crop up at the exact same time.
Secondly, we know they are not fool proof, and things they claim to have not messed with end up broken to all hell, this is really aparent with this latest patch...
All I was told in my plea for support was "We didn't touch the quicktime stuff, must be your end" and then got no further help...
This is bullcrap.
Anyway, if you don't want to read that thread (which was just to show that a fair number of us are having issues) it amounts to this.
You go to see a movie of a video... picture works fine, but the sound stutters and rolls in on itself like a bad echo, and then falls mute. the video still rolls.
Thats the issue.... can someone please help me out here? Obviously unpaid help is what I have to reach out for, as most at linden labs that I've called on the phone, or spoken to in live chat, honestly don't give a crap.. which really dissapoints me, on top of not being able to enjoy any video with my fellow secondlife residents.
