Ok, so I need to get a new video card for our other computer, and I dont know which one to get. I've been looking around the TigerDirect website and I am very confused...the computer Im getting the video card for is an Emachines - and thats all I know hehe...if anybody could help...it would be great!

A good starting place would be to tell us how much money you've got to spend.
Also, do Help->About in SL. That will show you what you've got in the machine now. _____________________

A good starting place would be to tell us how much money you've got to spend. Also, do Help->About in SL. That will show you what you've got in the machine now. No more than 75$.. I can't get SL to run on that computer so I can't find out that way.. |

Ok.. Assuming you're running XP, do Start->Run then enter dxdiag. That'll pop up a new window with a bunch of stuff in it. Click the tab that says Display and tell us what it says next to Name.

OK, yes, your plan to get a new video card is a good one, Intel graphics chipsets are not supported for SL. Your particular one can be made to work in some computers, it appears that in others not. If you're interested, here's a recent thread about that chipset:
