My shape hasn't looked right for sometime now. My chin is more pointy than it use to be. When a friend wears the shape the chin seems fine. I've tried editing appearance, change to female then back to male, updating drivers didn't help either.

Krazed, sometimes Preferences > Graphics Detail > "Avatar Vertex Program" checkbox can affect this. If it's not that tho... do you have before/after pictures you can post, or ones with you vs. your friend? Make sure you're wearing the same skins too, shading affects aesthetics.
I'll move this to Technical Issues for further discussion.

If the shape looks fine on your friend, it might be an improperly cached shape on your computer.
First, go into Preferences and have SL clear your cache. If that doesn't work, you can uninstall SL and manually delete the cache then reinstall. That should do it.
Unfortunately, I'm not in front of my SL computer right now, so I'm not sure where the cache location is exactly. I believe it is in
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\SecondLife
but I'm not 100% sure.

I uninstalled and looked for the cache folder but when you uninstalled it deletes it. I reinstalled and my chin is still messed up.

AV problems with SHAPES and SKIN - $$$ impacts!!
12-20-2006 16:04
I have the same problem.
Few days ago my shapes and skin on them were just as I have created them, then with the recent update it all changed. My shapes needed to be adjusted and skin does not look the same. I have eyebrows that are pointy and beard on my chin looks like it is drawn (and I am using Naughty). Tried buying new skin and my eyebrows still look like on the drag queen. I have tried to reinstall the drivers and SL, I emptied cache I do this every time I log in. NOTHING.
This is killing my shapes business and needs to be addressed immediately. How can I model my shapes to the potential clients if they do not look like on the box?

My shape was fine for a few hours today. My chin issue only shows on male shapes. I feel like this issue is just being ignored just because not many have had this issue. I'm tired of having my chin look jacked up. Just because it's an issue not many have had doesn't make it less of an issue
