I was hoping that the hedious texture bug would be fixed in this release, but no. :(

As you see the white ghost skirt texture is still showing up.

My eyelashes are still screwed up

Long sleeves and pants look horrible extending beyond their proper length and taking on the texture of my skin and shoes.

Rebakeing Textures fixes it for a minute or two, then it pops back to crap.

I have started a group named Texture Bug Victim anyone can join if you also have this bug. That way you can show it as your group title so people doin't think you are wearing some bad clothes you designed yourself.

This happens every time I login. Try this and please post back your results. I just go to appearance mode, then back out of it and its fixed it every time. Rebaking doesn't help for me.

Yup, that fixes it for a minute or two but it pops back to crap just like rebaking.

Belive me I have tried everything in the past few :mad:MONTHS:mad: this has been going on.

I have changed skins, given clothes to someone then had them give it back, every possible graphics setting in SL, all kinds of driver upgrades and crap on my computer.

I have come to the conclusion it is not my computer because:

1> Other people in world see the bug on me
2> It is still there on another computer
3> It is still there when using the Linux client

I have an issue like yours where my chin sticks out too much, when someone else wears my shape it looks like it should.

I have the same problem

I have given up on making clothes, because I have the same problem. I have given the texture to somebody else and they can make them, and they hold their color. I thought I was the only one having this problem. I also thought maybe it was something I was doing wrong in Photoshop, but then why can I give what I have made, and they can use the textures and it works? I happened to speak with Lexie Linden, and she had no answer

I had the exact same problem since late summer and nothing seemed to work (including updating video drivers). I was ready to give up hope of it every getting fixed. In early November, I noticed that there was an update for my video driver from NVIDIA (v93.71). I installed it, went with the default settings for the video cards and the problem went away. Everything now appears correct.

BTW...I am running two NVIDIA 7900 GT in SLI.

I hope this give you some hope.

I am running 6800GT's in SLI mode. Intresting to note that this did start after I added the second card and enabled SLI. But it did not start right away and disableing SLI for SL did not help. Also I have upgraded my drivers twice since then, (v93.71 is the current release) and even rolled back a couple driver revisions.

I would be intrested to know what settings you are using for SL.

My 3D settings for SL are:

Anisotropic filtering = 16x
Anisotropic mip filter optpimization = Off
Anisotropic sample optimization = Off
Antialiasing settings = SLI16x
Conformant texture clamp = Use hardware
Extention limit = Off
Force mipmaps = None
Hardware acceleration = Single display performance mode
Negative LOD bias = Clamp
SLI performance mode = Force split-frame rendering
Texture filtering = Quality
Transparency antialiasing = Off
Trilinear optimization = On
Triple buffering = On
Gamma correct antialising = Off
Vertical sync = Force off

I was having a bad texture bug also, different then yours, I had bands of odd texture wrapped around my Avie at differetn places.

The only thing that seems to have helped was I uninstalled and reinstalled SL, before logging in with my normal system, I logged in from another system with a completely diferent video card and rebaked textures with that system. I then logged in with my normal system and rebaked textures again.

So far it seems to be holding, I've had to do this Rube Goldberg routine for the past three updates.

Hi Gazz,

I have found that by using the Antialiasing settings of SLI 8x or SLI 16x caused the problem. Turn it off and away it goes. These settings were the default when I updated the drivers and are working good with SL.

What is interesting is that I used to run at SLI 16x and then after an earlier SL update, the problem appeared and would not go away. I know that these settings could be improved but at least now the problem is gone for me and I can wear everything again.

Here are my settings:

Anisotropic filtering = 8x
Anisotropic mip filter optpimization = Off
Anisotropic sample optimization = Off
Antialiasing settings = 4x
Conformant texture clamp = Use hardware
Extention limit = Off
Force mipmaps = None
Gamma correct antialiasing = Off
Hardware acceleration = Single display performance mode
Negative LOD bias = Clamp
SLI performance mode = NVIDIA Recommended (Default)
Texture filtering = High Quality
Threaded Optimization = Auto
Transparency antialiasing = Off
Trilinear optimization = Off
Triple buffering = Off
Gamma correct antialising = Off
Vertical sync = Use 3D application setting

Well I'll be damned  it looks like that just might have fixed it. I swear I tried all the possible 3D settings, maybe I did not rebake each time?

This is definantly something that should be made sticky or put in the wiki, at least passed on to support somehow...

Thanks dorei

I would be happy if I had your problems, for me the textures look like this: http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/5295/snapshot001jw4.jpg

Could anyone tell me how to fix that?
