well the title pretty much says it all. I thought this was fixed a while ago but apparently not. What happens is someone pays the vendor for an item and it takes their money but the poor customer doesnt get the item. This seems random as to who this happens to and what vendor is affected. Any idea whats going on to fix this? Customers are going to start thinking i'm trying to rip them off or something...help!

Which vendor(s) are you using?

The JEVN set have had a lot of problems due to LSL/infrastructural issues ... I'll defer to esmay on those (I own the JEVN set but have yet to deploy any JEVN vendors - I'm reconsidering doing so, actually, based on LL's propensity for breaking user-created middleware).

I have a number of Hiro's (free! Thanks, Hiro!) vendors placed - and had the very issue you're describing occur just after one of the rolling resets hit... just one vendor, in one sim had the issue. Folks would pay the vendor, I'd get the money, it would show in my transaction history - but no items delivered. I tried to troubleshoot - but it would always work for -me- ... the same borked vendor that wouldn't deliver to anyone else would deliver product to me just fine.

It took quite a bit of troubleshooting with the assistance of a friend to isolate the issue to a single vendor in a single sim. I tried resetting/rerezzing the vendor - no good. I copied a known-good vendor (with the same items) from one of my other locations and replaced the 'bad' one with the copy... and it _still_ wouldn't work. I finally took a 'raw' (empty) 3-prim vendor from Hiro's original distribution from my inventory, and rebuilt the contents of the vendor from scratch... _then_ it worked.

So, it took all morning to resolve - and, thankfully, the time between the first 'dropped' sale and fixing things was only 8 hours or so (the purchases were in the evening after I'd logged, and I logged in in the morning to a pair of 'paid, but no items' IMs).

Not sure this helps, but I hope so - good luck!

This might be the horrible Busy bug with llGiveInventory. Flipper does a good rant about it here.

Ah, no - the person helping me troubleshoot this was standing right next to me, and definitlely not in Busy mode. Simply no product sent to her. I'd then buy - and get product.

Just guessing, but inter-object and inter-sim and inter-game communication have been broken or severely delayed over the last few weeks. It would not surprise me if that was causing the trouble.

Here is another thread on the issue.

According to Flipper, it now happens even when the avatar is not Busy. He wants the auto-decline check removed because it's stupid anyway and now that there's an apparent bug in reporting Busy status, it's causing major problems.

If only LL believed in return codes or exceptions or some way we could tell whether a function actually worked, we could work around these issues.
