Ok, now when I log on it tells me I need to download an update so I click download. SL closes and a tiny window pops up and says connecting. After this it goes blank and an error report window pops up with a string of letters and numbers. Am I the only one?

Same deal here. I assume it has something to do with the sheer volume of people trying to use the autoupdater right now, but I could be wrong.

mine is different # and letters, but yes, I feel your pain. Perhaps we should just inundate Microsoft with error reports just to be annoying.

This sounds frustrating, I know. Please read this /120/fb/52815/1.html

ok, follow the link above but if you have like cable or something then after uninstalling I would suggest just downloading the new version with patch already added. at least if you keep having probs.
